Hi folks,

Could you please advise, (those who succesfully received an approval for your parents sponsorship) - did you guyes submitted just a translation and a copy of your BIRTH CERTIFICATE certified in Canada, or you had to get a translation of the LEGALIZED BIRTH CERTIFICATE at the embassy of the originating country?

The guide says CERTIFIED copy, so having an original here with me, can I just go to notary / commissioner for oath and have the translation of the birth certificate with its certified copy?

But how does a notary know the birh certificate is a genuine document?

PS I was born in USSR.

Thanks

переводчик переведет, она заверит - этого достаточно
то же самое для свидетельст o бракe

still ECAS reads "Application Received" for both the sponsor and the applicant. The silence is deafening.... :(

It's a very disappointing response from London I'd say.

If the initial review is not even started after almost a year, the whole process may take another year or so.
Here is what the AOR I received from London VO states about the overall process:

"Your application will first go through a pre-assessment done by Case Analysts. Case Analysts do not make decisions. They will go over the facts of your application and deepen the understanding of your circumstances before your file is assigned to an officer for processing. You may receive a request for additional evidence.

Once your application is assigned to an officer, the first step will be for the officer to review whether you meet the requirements for the Family Class category you applied under. This is called: Eligibility.

Once eligibility is completed, the officer will review your admissibility to Canada. Providing there are no concerns, the decision on your admissibility may closely follow the decision on your eligibility. However, complex medical conditions, criminal records or security concerns can significantly extend the processing time of your application. Certain reviews or verifications are conducted by partner agencies and these verifications will most likely extend the processing time of your application.

Once these reviews are completed, your application should be ready for final decision."
Yep this is not good , considering other visa offices are just cruising!

There are lots o

I would say contact your MP's from London Visa Office - anyone awaiting for so long

This is what I was thinking of doing next

Is that really helpful? From what I know, MPs can only get you the info about what the current status of your application is.
Can't GCMS Notes provide this information?
MPs can't make an application process any faster. Let me know if otherwise.

It may help if everyone is going with the same complaint/issue

Not sure if it helps or not in this case but for the super visa a application for my dad, when I went to my MP I heard back from CIC within a week. May just be a coincidence but the MP's office told me that everything is good and I shall hear back within a week and I did...

I'm September 2018 applicant no updates yet,!
Do your parents also hold a Pakistani passport, i.e., most likely London visa office..?

Hello Experts,

I received the PPR for my Parents. My time lines are as follows,

1. Application Received - 7th Sept 2018
2. Sponsorship Decision Made - 13th March
3. Parents PR Process Started - 13th march
4. Medical Request - 18th March
5. Medical Received - 28th March
6. PCC Request - 12th April
7. Finance PPR - 23rd April

I represent my Parents, due to that reason the PPR request came to send the passport to Ottawa, but my parents reside in India. So I need to change the VO to NDVO as it's not legal to send the passport outside of the country. I understand this request need to be done through web form.

But I need a sample text what need to be put in there for change of VO as part of request if any one has already done it.

Also in web form there are two parts 1. Applicant Information , 2. Enquirer Information

So my understanding is correct Applicant Information will be Main Applicant among my parent, 2. Enquirer Information will be mine.

Please need your help if any one gone through this situation.

Thanks
How did you submit your PCC, email?
Did the status change or was it reflected in ECAS that PCC is received?

Anyone having the information on how long they will proceed on PPR and sending the COPR back to us?
My mom is from one of Visa Exempt Countries, so we only sent copy of the passport (only the photo page, and amendment page), and as she currently resides in Canada, we sent it to Ottawa.

Does anyone have rough idea of how long it will take, or what's the process?
