Approved in Principle. What next?

We just got the Approved in Principe email/message.

What does this mean?

No, I am saying that we are near the end of the 12 months and we got an email on Friday saying that our/his application was
"Approved in Principle" and that we need to wait as they finish processing RCMP and Medical etc.
I just don't know what approved in principle means. Like does it mean that if the RCMP etc turn out ok that my partner's application is approved?

O! Sorry I can't help you with that. I've never heard of being "approved in principal". Looks like you're in the final stage. Medical and background check. After this is ppr ( passport request)
