Honestly, I don’t think pregnancy affects the application negatively. If anything, it helps. I’m the sponsor and Im sponsoring my husband. Last year my sister sponsored her husband and she was also pregnant. After the birth of her son, she sent the long form birth certificate and other documents and within a month their application was complete. My brother in law came within 9 months (start to finish).
I Really wish I get lucky like that too.
If applicant was wife and she would get pregnant during the process, i think it would most definetely delay process.
In your case husband is the applicant so it doesn't really affect the case if wife (sponsor) gets pregnant.

Procedure wise correct especially if the wife delivers during the process but any doubts about the relationship being genuine will not be there anymore and pregnancy will help the case get a definite approval.

not really...my frnd had a daughter when she applied back in 2014 n they waited 2 n half years n had to go through interview bcz visa officer didnt think the relationship was real..
