It all depends on which stage of PR application you are in.

You required to submit your biometric post your AOR and you will receive biometric request from CIC and then you can take that letter and visit any nearby vfs to do biometric.

What if i dont have any request yet? We are on the "decision made" stage of our application waiting for the landing appointment

Are you an Inland applicant? Inland are not required to give biometric.

What is the status it is showing against the biometric tab in EE profile?

The principal applicant is in canada which is my mom. She just sponsored me as her dependent child

Is your mother a PR, being sponsored by a spouse or has she applied for PR through an economic stream and you are included in her app?

If you mean an economic app, then this is not a Family Class app. You need to post in the EE or Skilled Worker section of the forum.
