Dear members,

I'm from India and need some clarity on family sponsorship program. Below are my circumstances:

1- My sister-in-law has PR and will soon move to Canada
2- She will sponsor my younger brother (own) to have him move too.

Both of them would search for jobs to settle-in.

Can my brother sponsor me for PR?

- I'm married (working spouse), working and have a kid.
- My parents are alive and live in India.

Your help in this regard is appreciated.

Thanks,
Nik

Correct as per the other relative section in the link given he could sponsor parents whilst they are alive before you.

Thanks for the response! I see, my brother can move through spouse entry being sponsored by my sister-in-law. But I cannot be sponsored while my parents are alive.

Actually - you can't be sponsored at all. Even if both of your parents were deceased - you still would not be able to be sponsored through family class by either your brother or your sister in law. If you wish to immigrate to Canada, you will have to qualify on your own through an economic immigration stream like express entry.
