Your immigration lawyer here might be referring to the emails that IRCC sends when you have an update on your profile. But you do not receive emails for some ghost updates. You only notice changes when you log in to the profile. I feel you may have received a ghost update at some point after March 20. That would indicate background checks are starting. Maybe your immigration lawyer may have not noticed it.

Anyways, it is great that your eligibility has been met. That's surely a great sign and must be a huge relief from the stress. Your security should be quick since you shouldn't have any history so should expect good news soon :)

Honestly, I would relax if I were you because eligibility was biggest hurdle. :)
yeah, I am much relaxed now. Just patiently waiting to receive the PPR.

Hi Guys,

My AOR is 18th October and I have been in IP1 since Med Passed sometime in November.
Yesterday I called IRCC Agent, and came to know that Eligibility is Met, but Criminality and Security Check have not started.
Can anyone please let know approximately how much time will it take to receive the golden email?
Same status and AOR.

What is the difference between raising a case enquiry form and ordering gcms
There are more chances of you getting a generic response from IRCC when you raise a CSE. GCMS notes gives you a detailed account of what has happened to your application till date along with dates and other comments added by the case agents. So, GCMS gives you a much better idea, but you will need to wait for a month after you have placed the request.

Yes I suppose so.

FSW-O US and Nigerians get them faster than rest. For FSW-O Indians it's 180-190 days now.

No I meant being an FSW-O applicant, who’s Indian by nationality but applied from another country of residence. I guess both would play a bit of a role in processing times?

Oh yes you are correct. FSW-O Indians but US residents get it faster than Indian residence.

Eligibility is the biggest hurdle. If you met that then you are 90% there. very rare you will get rejected in security.

Any idea when your eligibility checks may have started? Because my file is still untouched and I have only 33 days left.

So it all seems to happen after 150 day mark
My AOR is Oct 8. I found out from my GCMS notes that Eligibility was set to "Met" on Nov 22. Still in IP1; God only knows what's taking them so long!

Wow!! That looked super fast that eligibility was set to met on Nov 22. Was that by program assistant or by case processing officer?
