;););)

Yes :( but well, I am trying to be positive thinking that : even if the wait is long, at this point, April and even May, should be loooooots of PPR for October, here we are finally, the six months and everything is possible now !!!
Your hopes might be high but there is lot of delay in processing of applications since last one year. Still lot of people from June and July are waiting to receive ppr emails. So you can imagine delay from their end.

If you are at IP2. The file is waiting for a senior officer's review. IRCC will re-calculate whether you meet the eligibility for the program based on the submitted documents. Passing the eligibility criteria is the most important thing. Your criminality must be passed based on the submitted PCCs. They will start with Security Check as part of the final step. Basically, the Canadian government will try and determine if you have any negative security history. Generally, the trend is once you reach IP2, chances of rejection are less but you never know. I hope this helps! If you have not ordered GCMS notes, you should consider doing it now.

All the best
Very informative!! Thanks

Hi Guys,

My AOR is 18th October and I have been in IP1 since Med Passed sometime in November.
Yesterday I called IRCC Agent, and came to know that Eligibility is Met, but Criminality and Security Check have not started.
Can anyone please let know approximately how much time will it take to receive the golden email?

I'm October 18th AOR too but in IP2 stage. From the time required to get the golden mail, it varies from application country to another, but the trend is at least 180 to 200 days... unfortunately, there is no clear rules

Eligibility is the biggest hurdle. If you met that then you are 90% there. very rare you will get rejected in security.

Any idea when your eligibility checks may have started? Because my file is still untouched and I have only 33 days left.

So it all seems to happen after 150 day mark

Actually I forgot to ask when it started and when it got completed, But I am planning to call them again soon. Once I get chance to talk to agent, I will update the same over here. When I talked to agent yesterday she was positive that I will receive the decision before 18th April which is my 6th Months completion date. But I am not too positive about it. I guess it will stretch out a little, looking at the current trends.

She could be right because security and criminality don't take long.

When I had a chat with an agent the week before he told me sometimes they process everything in a day if your file looks good. So it is quite possible you will get good news by April 18th.

I am guessing they may have touched your file only after March 20 since that marks your completion of 5 months.

The trend these days is 150-190 days for PPR

Yeah it looks that way. Because during the last bulk ghost update, I did not receive any communication. So I guess they started working on it only after completion of 5 Months

So you did not receive ghost updates?
Actually I have hired a immigration lawyer for the process. but I regularly check with them, if they have received any new communication on my behalf. and they have said NO everytime. So frankly even if they have received any ghost update, I would not know for sure. But after talking to the agent yesterday, I felt so much better as the Eligibility was Met.

Your immigration lawyer here might be referring to the emails that IRCC sends when you have an update on your profile. But you do not receive emails for some ghost updates. You only notice changes when you log in to the profile. I feel you may have received a ghost update at some point after March 20. That would indicate background checks are starting. Maybe your immigration lawyer may have not noticed it.

Anyways, it is great that your eligibility has been met. That's surely a great sign and must be a huge relief from the stress. Your security should be quick since you shouldn't have any history so should expect good news soon :)

Honestly, I would relax if I were you because eligibility was biggest hurdle. :)
