I just moved from USA to Canada, driving via rainbow bridge. I did not show my title and other documents on the US side, but only on canada side. Is there something 72-hour export rule, which requires me to show the document on the USA side before driving to Canada side? I did not see any USA office while crossing and do I have to know bring it back to USA to complete the formality. Please advise.

Yes, if you are moving permanently, you need to export your car from the US and import it into Canada.

If you reside in Canada, you cannot drive a U.S plated car. If you're just visiting for a few days, that's no problem. It all depends on where you reside.

If you have indeed moved to Canada full time, then yes, you will need to drive back to the US and go through the export/import procedure. This forum has lots of information on the process, just search.

Thank you @21Goose . I already moved without doing the export formality from US side. So I need to take it back to USA and complete the formality ?

Thanks

Yes, without that you cant register your vehicle. So no choice.
