Mailed my application off today! Sponsoring hubby in Jamaica. Will update the tracker once confirmed CIC receives it.

I sent miners the same day heard from them march 27th. Via email, now waiting for the next step

Yeah but you asked for an outside situation and now she is in.... they probably looked and saw her entry. it's rarely good to try to have your wife in canada while you do sponsorship from outside.

This is wrong and very bad advice. @usamatk can apply for her as outland regardless of whether she is physically in the country or not. Only inland applications have stipulations about this.

Just read one post in December forum (who is about to get PPR). His status changed to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." from
Your background check in progress. We will send you a message when we start background checking"

Mine is showing "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." since the day I have linked the application. Does that make any difference? just wondering if anyone knows?

Some of us have this status from the beginning and some of us don't. It seems to be a very recent thing with the IRCC, so no one really knows yet if it means anything in terms of overall processing times.

I have the same situation. I received SA on March 20th, but on my ECAS it says March 26th. No emails received from them on the 26th. Odd

We have the same thing @Awais_ch and @Blue0316. I was getting worried I'd somehow missed an email from them.

I read in a British Expat guide to spouse sponsorship that both the PA and the sponsor should have an account on CIC as they send some things to one person and some things to the other - do you guys have two accounts like this?

We thought only one account was needed so I (the sponsor) have one and so far we've received the biometrics and medical request in there and then I received the AOR and SA in emails.

My husband has been trying to link up his CIC account with the application but, of course, he's exceeded the 5 tries a day for two days now. So frustrating when you're copying the information right from your application so you know it's right and it still keeps saying it's wrong (we've tried the trick with putting 2 people instead of 1 applying). We shall keep trying each day until it links.

Same boat ... still trying here to put it with gckey cic still not working ecas is showing tho and no way to know if they made typo

Still haven’t got ours yet but we did get the email asking for additional documents which gave us assurance that they are looking at our case. Submitted those yesterday. Seen a few people have it come through a month after AOR. Let’s stay positive

We only have 1 linked and that’s mine as I’m the PA. How would I link an account to my partners? What information? We tried linking it to my partners and it transferred mine to his. We switched it back so I get the updates. Any advice?

Hey folks, i am 25th feb applicant, i got an email today saying my application was received and also got biometrics request. Does this mean my app is compelete and i signed all docs right and sent all forms and documents?

Hi guys! Got AOR march 29, Im february 25th applicant. Been able to link my account, I did check the application status it says that “we dont need your fingerprints” and “you do not need a medical exam”. Should i need to be worried or not? BYW, PA is from asia (philippines)
