I thought so too but I showed the bank the exact requirements from IRCC then they said they have to request from my original branch (I moved to another city) so it takes 10 days.

If you are applying for permanent residence in Canada, you must provide an official letter issued by your financial institution indicating your financial profile. This must:

  • list of all your bank (chequing and savings) and investment accounts, the account numbers, dates each account was opened and the balance of each account over the past six months,
  • list all outstanding debts, such as credit cards and loans,
  • be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution, and include your name and the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and e-mail address).”
is it also mandatory for cec inland express entry?

I see.. well in my case I was invited under CEC but my agent still wanted me to send my proof of funds (maybe they process it faster? not sure) , so I sent him the bank statements that I dowloaded and also included the Proof of Funds explanation letter for CEC applicants. Not sure what he did with all of that haha.. better to give them extra paperwork rather than missing some.

It is not mandatory for CEC applicants but they require the proof of funds letter of explanation

I think it's just luck.. I checked myimmitracker and there were some October and December's application approved. Still within the 6 months timeframe.

My VO office was Ottawa and as of 28th Feb my security wasn’t started. PPR email came 6th March so hopefully it won’t take too much longer for you. I thought they were really quick, wasn’t expecting to hear anything before 6 months so was really suprised!

It’s been 4 months now without PR..
Still Patient hopefully the golden email pops-up sometime..

Got gcsms notes
Eligibility Recommend passed
Criminality passed
Security not started

Same like me. I will complete 4 months on 23rd March.

One of my friends applied on 16 Dec, he got his PPR email on 27 feb. And you will be surprised an other friend CEC applied on 28 Jan and got PR on 21st feb. Mine took almost 4 months. Time with express entery application is unprdictable
Are they both Inland applicants? Or from which country they applied? and what was their VO office any idea?
