A little update on my previous msg..

I managed to get my brother in law call CIC hotline from Canada to hear what the automated answering machine would say against my application number and this is what he heard :

- The application status: Reviewing background check.

- Application was received April 12th 2018

- Do not need additional documents.

- Passed medical exam.

- Do not need fingerprints.

- Will contact once processing is complete.

So this is what the CIC hotline says that they are reviewing background check but ECAS shows Decision Made.... anyone knows whats going on?

For anyone who has no access to link their online application could somehow get someone the know in Canada to Call the hotline number 1 888 242 2100 then press 1, 1, 2, 3 for options.

That’s an automated system you can hear any update on your application all you need is your application number!!

Let me know if anyone called the hotline and found it helpful!
I am not an expert, but from what Ive heard or read, Decision Made means that the principal applicant's eligibility is approved and CIC deems the relationship genuine. However your security checks are still in process, but thats the last step and youre very close to receiving the passport request.

when did they start reviewing your eligibility?
do they start reviewing it as soon as the file gets transferred to lvo, or did they start reviewing it recently?
When i linked my file to gc key in july it was showing that we r reviewing your eligibility

Does anyone know what the background check consists of?

Sounds stupid and even though I should have nothing to be worried about, A years ago I did have my schengen visa be rejected 3 times within 1 year and the third and last time it got rejected on the basis of them thinking i was a threat to their public security/health etc ( i guess they gor suspicious). Very bizzare and no more explaination wasgiven and couldnt appeal it either (never got any reply back and the time frame had passed).

Since then I have visited multiple countries, got granted Canadian visit visa and Visited Canada twice!!

Should this in anyway make a difference in my background check??

Thanks for sharing this information. I will let my sister call the hotline. Moreover I have access to my application as I linked it to GCkey account where I can also see the time bar.

Any news from London visa office for april applicants?
Pre Arrival Email 1 month ago. 8th Feb 2019

Status changed from in Process on to Decision Made on ECAS 2 weeks ago. 22nd Feb 2019

Checked status through IRCC hotline 3 days ago (6th March 2019), said they are reviewing background check, Do not need extra documents, Do not need Biometrics, Medical Passed. Will contact once processing is complete.

1 year since first AOR recieved will be this April 2019.

Worried About my background check since i forgot to mention schengen visa refusals
A years back, i dont know if i have enough time to send an email explining my mistake before i am told i misrepresentedon my application. However I have been granted Canadian TRV after my schengen refusal and i forgot to mention in TRV application too! I also have visited Canada twice since!

What about you? Have you heard anything?

Hello guys, I want to know how does lvo see nikkah only cases? I applied for my wife in april 2018 and file transferred to lvo in august 2018, nothing since then. I am very worried. I went back home to complete Rukhsati and Valima but my rep said keep your file as a nikkah only if they ask then we will give proof. Is he right or not?

No wedding party but our nikkah ceremony was very lavish just like a wedding ceremony, we have a lot of pictures plus pictures of us hanging out.
