Thanks Scylla..
Also please advise if knowing French and English would have any bearing on the points system when I apply for PR.
FYI, I have pretty good scores in English (IELTS, TOEFL) and now learning French too.

Please advise maximum amount of cash I can carry. I am travelling from India as a student and I am carrying five thousand CAD in cash and another 5000 CAD loaded in my Master Card. So a total of 10 thousand Canadian dollars.
Please advise if i will have to declare anything at Immigration checkpoints(which I can). Would be great if I had a heads up of what i am going to encounter.
Thanks Scylla..

Your questions are extremely basic and demonstrate that you haven't spent any time looking into this. You need to spend time researching Canada's immigration programs if you are serious about applying. No one here is going to do this research for you. If you don't have the time to do the research yourself, then you'll need to hire an immigration lawyer or consultant to assist you.
