I still haven’t recieved SA and it’s been two weeks since AOR... should I be worried? They requested a new passport last week and we sent it and they sent us an email stating they recieved it... could this be the cause for delay?
Even if I say you should not be worried, I don't think it will comfort you much. I definitely think the new passport request is an factor contributing to the delay. If you want, you can call IRCC but I bet they will say we are still processing Oct. 9 applications.

I have to say congratulations for anyone who got their applications moving forward. It is better than "unknown" state even if it is a sort of slow VO. So congratulations!

Yes, that letter from IRCC saying your application was transferred to Sydney Australia VO is pre-AOR2, and once Sydney, Australia VO sends you that your application is in its office then it is an official AOR2.

Amen you are right - but I still can’t help wanting it all done yesterday :D

Jeez, I’m off the forum for one night to go to the footie and there’s been 1,000 posts :p

Has anyone had updates come through on ECAS after receiving the letters today?

Sigh, me ... nope. Still waiting on the letter! We got the medical done today though :) Hoping it is transferred to a speedy VO asap. ECAS says....
  1. We received your application for permanent residence on November 30, 2018.
  2. We sent you medical instructions on February 19, 2019. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible.

    *** Currently Awaiting AOR 2

Still says in GC Key we will send you a message when we BEGIN processing background check. That hasn't changed.
    We included police checks.

Looks like others are getting their AOR2s a week or so after Medicals Passed so my fingers are crossed!

    Loving this December thread!

Hello to all,

Is there a particular reason why some outland applications are sent to Mississauga and others to local VOs? Thanks in advance for your response.

Good day Everyone,

Application Received: December 24, 2018
AOR1: February 20, 2019
MR: February 27, 2019

I haven't received SA, yet. :(

@svilli Would you be able to share the AOR2 email you were sent with your details blanked out?

Many are changing their status on the tracker to AOR2 based on the email they received about their applications being moved to their local VO. It would be nice to be able to highlight the difference between the initial email and true AOR2.

I am new here. This is a really informative forum. Here is my situation. Fyi I paid the Biometric fee in advance with the sponsorship fees for my wife (PA). So it appears Biometric is usually updated fast within a few days? What is the average time between that and Medical Request?

Application Received: Dec 17/18
AOR: Feb 11/19
Biometric Request: Feb 27/19

The medicals requests last time came through in one big batch on the 19th Feb for many of us. Looking at the limited data we have for biometrics on the tracker you're looking at anywhere up to 15 days. However, people have had their applications transferred to their local VO without a medical being requested so it could come later than that. I wouldn't worry too much as you're making good progress.
