Hi All,

Interested in suggestions of what to do next.

We received our GCMS notes and we have a review required for my wife’s employment records. It doesn’t say why the review is required, but the document is probably more complicated than some as there are 3 different roles on the same letter, one full time and two part time. Each role is independently reviewed by the officer and each says confirms salary, and job description in line with NOC. However, each role and the whole document says review required - but doesn’t say why.

Last time our file was looked at was on the 4th September. That’s 4 1/2 months between the last action and raising the request for GCMS.

Same here, they looked into my file on 9th September 2018, after that no progress.

You can get new employment letters for your wife and include on the job(s) she's claiming points for. Just include a few job durties that match the duties of the NOC code and keep it as simple as possible.
The review required on your eligibility is what is likely responsible for the delay you've been experiencing.

Hi guys!

I am new around here but have been following this thread for a while.

I ordered gcms notes in Nov 19th and received them 2 months later with the following info:

AOR July 27th
Medical: passed
Eligibility: met
Criminality: in progress
Security: not started
Due date: 2019/01/04

Today I called IRCC and the agent said my eligibility passed and my background check is still waiting to finalize. I asked why this last step is taking so long and he said the USA government strike has delayed background checks of applicants. I am not sure how much of this is true...I am brazilian with a simple travel history, 6 of the trips were vacations to USA in the past 10 years. Never lived in the USA, only in Brazil and Vietnam. I have no criminal records and provided both PCCs on my application.

He also said my application had a note it was delayed until May 4th, my primary office was Ottawa and now is Sydney, NS.

I would appreciate your input on my case. I am waiting for a new set of notes to arrive this month.

Many thanks!
I haven't heard of a delay until. I only know about "due dates" and they necer follow those due dates.
What was the application status on the first page of your first GCMs notes? was it 'On hold' or 'In progress'?
And what's your primary office?

Hi all,

I received my GCMS notes 2 days ago. I got PPR on Feb 5th (7 months and 3 days after AOR).

The request date was 21/01/19 and everything showed passed or complete, I got my PPR 2 weeks later so no surprise there I guess.

There is a note from August 2018, just over a month after AOR - it looks like they noted a review required about my Canadian work experience as duties listed on the letter weren't enough for the NOC I had chosen. But the bigger picture was that I had claimed for less points than I should have as all my Canadian work experience appeared to count, I had interpreted it as only 'skilled' work experience, where as some jobs were junior level.

Frustrating to know that this letter being improved could have prevented the greater than 7 months wait I had! I haven't had time to see what the timeline is that followed, but it the reality was review required in August, PPR in February.

I hope all of those of you still waiting get yours very soon! Good luck!

I am waiting for mine too, how long did it take to receive it? Any interesting info in there?
It took them 2 months to be received.
Well, mostly CBSA notes are the same as GCMS ones, only Admissibility and Activity sections are not redacted, so you can be 100% sure if it's SS or not, what the progress of your SS is, when it started and what section of IRPA you or your spouse is under.

Dear Guys,

I am very much glad to inform you that I am completing my 7th month...Cheers..:(:(
You don't look so glad.
When did you submit the supporting documents to clear your POF RR?

Is it better to upload updated pof? My file is a review required case on pof and they didn't consider my FDs (which according to me is by mistake). So I raised a CSE (a month ago) and explained them that FDs are liquid and my total funds are sufficient. But I didn't provide latest funds proof.
I'm guessing my file is still untouched, so should I provide new proof now?

I completed 7 months on 10th Feb. I'm feeling they'll do most of July files together and very soon now.
Mine was on Feb 17. But I know 1 applicant pnp outland who's AOR was on Nov 2018 and he received a PPR this Feb 2019 already. Why is that so? Isn't this a first submission, first serve basis?
