Hello here. . Aug 02 AOR PNP-O
I first called cic in December and got informed eligibility, medicals, background checks(security and criminality) all passed but no decision yet taken. Raised CSE in January( first ever cse) and they gave me a detailed response that confirmed everything valid. Called early February as my 6 months passed and it was again same story. .I'm just from calling again and hmm mm. same as I first called in December. .the agent said all is done but doesn't know when I'll be contacted. .he said he'll write a message to the officers right away to inform them about my case since im well over the average 6months processing time.if I'm not contacted within the next 4 weeks, I should call again
Do you have any idea on what can be wrong and can the call agent really influence on the case?
This wait is really now making me restless ..I was really patient from the nomination process till my 6 months but now it's just mysterious
It's like to be under PNP is sure of getting over 6months
Since you confirmed all is passed, there's nothing more you can do other than to keep raising CSE and calling since you are over 6months. Do you know your VO? You can try sending an email maybe that can help.

AOR - 18th Aug
Med pass - 9th Sept
IP2 has not started

6 months elapsed on 18th Feb. I called them and they informed me that
Eligibility - completed
Background Check(Criminality and Security) - not started
Last Update in my account - 28th Sept
VO: Ottawa

How long should the background check take? any idea? I have never ordered any notes.

I emailed them regarding a completion date and their response was on the following lines:
Please be informed that your application is currently in queue for review by an officer. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide you with a date on which your file will be reviewed. No additional documents required.

What should I be expecting? Please guide. Thanks.

Hello everyone,

In October, I got to know that eligibility is recommended pass, criminality and security in process. In Nov, I also got an mail CPC Ottawa before and I got a reply that it's in queue for review.
This morning, I have received this email from CPC-Ottawa. "Your file is currently under review and requires additional verification. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times" I am worried. Am about to order GCMS notes.

AOR 14 Aug.
Any insights anyone?
Hello Tinaaah, congrats on your PPR.

Did you ever find out the reason for the additional verification? Did they contact your employer or anything or the sort?

It means March 30 is the new due date on your file, if at that date your file isn't concluded, the call agent can notify the Case officer and flag your file as overdue for review.
My application crossed the 6 month mark on 18th August. I emailed them for a completion date and their response was that:

As long as your eligibility is passed, you can relax. Occupy yourself with preparing for your new home, getting some stuff ready. And hopefully, we'll meet in Canada soon, have some tea and laugh these times off.
As long as eligibility is passed, you can relax. Why do you say that?

He is saying so because once they clear your eligibility you are almost done and would eventually receive PPR unless there is a concern in your security check. Since you must be knowing that your security check shouldn't take much time if there are no red flags , your PPR email is just waiting for security reports from the affiliated agencies. Eligibility is a continuous check which consumes maximum time followed by security. So once eligibility is done you are almost there as the major hurdle is over.

Cheers!
