A friend of mine got the landing interview letter, the email title was, Communication from CIC-Vancouver- Immigration Appointment
hie, did you received your work permit after AIP or not?i know you already received your landing letter though. Thanks.
Haha welp now I feel dumb it says in the email subject "Landing Letter"

Pretty simple, below the info from online, normally it would take about 5-10 minutes.
They will ask you your eye colour, whether you have ever been refused entry to Canada or asked to leave. They will ask you if you have any dependants other than those listed (if applicable). They will ask you if you have committed any crime or have criminal proceedings pending. They may ask if you are married legally ... they will ask your sponsor if he/she is your sponsor.
You will be shown a sheet of paper that has these questions on, when you answer them they will ask you to initial each place.
Then..... you sign within the green box..... and it's "Welcome to Canada" !!!

Both my partner and I received a call from IRCC yesterday confirming some basic details about our relationship - is this normal? I'm curious if they are going to start requesting more information. Was hoping it was going to be straight forward like alot of other applications.

It's quite normal. Some inland people got phone interview like what you have. My guessing your background check should be done soon, next step will be AP/AIP, them DM

Or just right after your AIP & SA ? Straight to landing notice.

Fingers crossed for you! We are driving to Calgary on Tuesday for my landing! So excited!I now have Decision Made on both sides in ECAS. My closest office is Calgary so hoping I get the landing interview as quickly as @kfrench did (4-5 days from their posts in here). Super excited. This has been a great little community of shared waiting to be a part of
Calgary office is pretty fast to have the interview letter, Congrats for you both!
Calgary office is fast, must not be as busy with the oil & gas downturn. I just had landing yesterday which was rescheduled from Jan 16 due to travel. In and out in 30 minutes, 25 of which were waiting in line or walking through the building.
i did not get any landing notice after DM , SA and AIP i got landing interview directly
Background still in process i think not updated yet
