Hi guys,

Submitted the application in June 2018 and last time we got a message was July 2018 and the 6months elapsed in December 2018, till date there has been no change in the status. I updated my new passport because the old one had expired and realized my application is been processed in Ghana.

I sent them(Ghana) an email in January and their response was “your application is in queue for review”. I Sent another email a month after (February) and no response till date... just curious and wondering what their first response meant and just want to know what’s going on with my application.

Please anyone with such experience? Advise needed

I read your post and I must admit that it's not reassuring. I am now in disbelief too, not that I believed they were all angels but the events you described in your post are very disconcerting and that's my reason for disbelief.

I would surely respond if my spouse or I were spoken to like that.

In the first scenario, it goes without saying that that agent was way out of line and shouldn't be an agent in the first place. That must have been demeaning to the guy in the wheelchair, if I were around, I would have stood up for him (if things went further than that).

As to the second scenario, the "don't bullshit me" thing could just be a casual talk or downright rude, like you said, the tone and the face expression count here.

Was it not possible to film that ?

Agents like that should definitely be reported.

This is definitely not something I would have wanted to read just days before landing.

How long was the wait ?

The tone of the agents only matters in the second case.

In my opinion, as there were many witnesses to that, it should be reported and others could come forward to corroborate.

What you wrote in your post indicates that the things I read in google reviews of Toronto Pearson are almost all true.
As @cansha has mentioned in his subsequent post, there may be different scenarios depending upon the agent and the person in front of him. Generally its not that bad. The immigration process that took him 3 hours is long . @worldgreatest had done his landing at YYZ, though he is SINP, but it was easy and smooth for him. So , different stories from different people.

Mantra is, Keep your calm and do the landing.:)

As far as I know, you have to only surrender driver's license from other Provinces. I don't think you need to surrender your countries Driver's License. In fact, I think you can use the back home Driver's License to get the new one easier. Otherwise, you have to go through all the classes and exams.
You have to surrender all your licenses in Alberta once you pass the written test. In my case that included an international license, expired license and current license from my country. I had an abstract that I also submitted and within a week was told I was exempted from the GDL requirements (you still have to pass road tests and upgrade your license at different intervals but you don't have a waiting period to do so)...**This is my experience**...

Hi, unfortunately your timeline (or lack of) is consistent with Accra VO (Ghana). It’s one of the slowest VOs out there.
The good news is I hear they are processing May/June Applications at the moment, so you could hear from them soon. In the meantime, you could order your GCMS notes to verify that your application is in order.
Hang in there!

That info sharing is weird. It should not take long I believe.
You could order CSIS/CBSA notes and see if you are in security screening.
He isn't in security screening. His security is "not started", not redacted or blank.

Exactly what @Yelzamani said.
Although I'm not sure they're processing May yet. @Kiki_tonia any updates from your end?

Hey Guys received my CBSA notes few hours back. Funny thing is CBSA notes and last GCMS Notes are exactly same...
In GCMS it was mentioned that security not started but we thought of just double checking in case there was a security related issue. It means our file is not stuck with security, infact it seems like it hasn't gone to CBSA at all and CIC is pondering on the case for the last 8 months for no reason whatsoever cause everything is good in my notes with no adverse remarks anywhere.
Write to your VO once again, with a CSE to support... Bug them.. I assume you may have been doing everything, but keep doing it consistently and become persistent... Only 1.5 weeks left for your PPR I guess!!

Ok, here are my notes (well, part of them of course). I included what I think is the most important / relevant info. Hopefully I covered all private info, if not either way I know you are all cool guys and gals and you will tell me or will ignore it hahaha. If you want to see some other info just let me know. I posted them on an album and not BBCode so I would not clutter the forum.

The only parts I'm unsure of is that 1. my info sharing says in progress while my wife's says complete (I think my wife's part is not on pictures). 2. I have one page for info sharing redacted under section 13 (1)(a) and 3. I raised two CSEs, one for POF clarification and one for a forgotten visa refusal and even though it seems my application would have been fine without them, adding the info doesn't seem to have affected it anyway.

Ready to read your thoughts.
Nothing is unusual in the notes... I skimmed throught it and not a single black(red) dot... In my opinion the filing is literally eating e-dust in one of the Data Centers/CRMs of CIC.. Hope they give your PPR swiftly...

Yes and no. You can use your Driver's experience to get discount on insurance.
I didn't say they will give you a full driver's license based on your back home one! But, you can use it to make the process easier. If you don't have a back home driver's license, you have to graduate from driving program like a high school student in Canada. so, you have to take some classes, then take the written test, then you have to wait for like a year, then another exam, wait for some time, and finally you can get the full driver's license. But, if you have your back home driver's license, you don't need to wait for all these time and based on your experience, they might even allow you to take the full driver's test immediately.
Please let me know if my home country licence can get me some discount in getting a licence (ON). Or I need to have an extract ? What I mean is, do they consider the licence as a proof of experience or they need some kind of document apart from the home country licence to consider a waiver for driving programme?

AOR:13 Aug. ADR (PCC): 23 January, Indian residing in Myanmar
Guys,
Happy to share that my consultant has just forwarded our PPR. We have to submit our passports at VAC for stamping at Singapore HC.
Does anyone know how much time is taken by Singapore HC to return the passports?
Best wishes to every one awaiting PPR here.
Cheers...
