Received the Golden Email : But I have a Problem

Hi Guys, i received an email today which i am assuming is the Golden Email by CIC

Dear XXXX,
The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our department to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, permanent residence visa. If for any reason you are not able to meet this deadline, please inform us immediately by email to: IRCC.CIO-BRCD.IRCC@cic.gc.ca with details concerning your situation.

Now i understand that they are asking me to submit my documents to the below address which is in OTTAWA, as i applied as an Inland applicant. But right now i am vacationing in my backhome INDIA, and i have only 30 days to submit my passport.

It also states that,
· If you do not have a mailing address in Canada or the U.S.A, or if you are unable to submit the required documentation for you or your accompanying family members to the addresses below, please send an email to us at IRCC.CIO-BRCD.IRCC@cic.gc.ca so that we can send you instructions for submitting your documents to a visa office which is the most convenient for you. Please note that our office will not return passports to an address outside North America.

So i replied the email regarding my current location, but i dont know how long will they take to reply me back. I know they will ask me to submit my documents in VFS Global which takes care of Canadian Visas in my city, but i dont have any letter from CIC to prove that i have to submit it there.

what if CIC reply to my email after 15-20 days? in that case it'll be a problem for me to do anything.

PLEASE HELP !!

Tricky situation, may be try calling them if that works? Or send follow ups on the same email explaining it's urgent to receive a reply given your situation.

They responded in a day or two mentioning the extension of the 30-day timeline to 60 days (Feb 28th is the deadline).

Unfortunately, I am stuck in India due to 221-G H1B admin processing for visa stamping and not sure when the US embassy requests a passport. It is already February and I have time to send my passport through courier from the USA only until 28Feb2020. Can anyone explain to me the process for submitting a passport at the Canada embassy in India (Hyderabad) rather than sending a passport through courier and also please tell me how long it does take Canda Embassy to return passport/ passport pick up?

I appreciate your help.

Request CIC to change the VO to NEW DELHI, they can do that for you and then you can submit passports in VFS India.

I can certainly do that, but do not want to jeopardize the time I have. As at any moment, the US embassy might also request the passport while I submitted passport for Canada Embassy. Do you know how long does Canada takes once the passport is submitted at the Visa Office in India?

you will have to take a call. I got my passport in 5 days, i stayed in Delhi. You can check myimmitracker for current passport processing time in NDVO.

I live in US, but I’ve submitted my passport through VFS Hyd to New Delhi office as I’m in India for a vacation. After I received an email asking to submit my passport, I’ve sent an email to the CIC agent (listed in the request) explaining my situation and asked whether I can submit my passport in India. I received a confirmation:

You may submit your passport to the New Delhi VAC. We cannot guarantee a 30 days return time if you do so.

I went ahead with the submission in India on Jan 24th. Still waiting for my passport, but I think it’s taking an average of 10-15 working days for processing. Hopefully I receive an update by end of this week.
