We had a same update so, we saw our application was started processing and within 24 hours we got an update saying approved. We are now waiting for the pysical work permit.

Something really weird happened. I was checking my husband's OWP file and when I logged in, it said file updated, when I clicked on it, there was no update! Has anyone else faced this before?

Expect a decision within 24 hours, if not much sooner.

This is the full story:
I was on an implied status (temporary visitor and extending my visitors application) when I submitted my PR Application with OWP. I submitted visitors extension in August, Submitted PR amd OWP in Oct, and I called CIC after making the $5 payment, I was told they waiting on decision on my temporary permit extension (that made me an implied status applicant). The question is, I am changing status, why should the previous temporary status matter (Visitor) as I am eligible for the PR owp. Am I expected to have two temporary permit or why should the extension matter to this particular application?

Your visitor extension is taking too long! It is weird!! Regarding you being eligible to apply for PR, ok. But you are NOT eligible to apply for OWP without a valid status. If you are on implied status you are not eligible for the OWP. That is it!

That is why you need your visitor extension approved. It will give you a valid status then IRCC can process your OWP application.

Call them to get information on your visitor extension and know why it is taking so long!!

Got an update on my OWP application. Review of eligibility started an hour back
Here is my timeline.

OWP+ Spousal sponsorship application Sent = OCT 15th
OWP+ Spousal sponsorship application Received= OCT 22nd (my bad luck it got delayed for a week due to Canada postal strike had to raise a ticket with them to track the package. Also in ircc it was marked received on Oct 15th, probably should be the date that I signed on the paper).
AOR Received= NOV 8th
Medicals submitted upfront and passed = JAN 15TH
Review of eligibility stared = FEB 11th
OWP approval waiting......

Hope this will give some hope for other's who are still waiting for an update.
