So, checking the immigration tracker it seems that Mexico VO is still working on applications from January 2018. I think we will be waiting probably close to the 12-month deadline, which means another 5 months for my application. Anyone that follows the whatsapp group has news about the Mexico VO processing applications from June 2018?

Are you checking this tracker?
https://myimmitracker.com/en/ca/trackers/consolidated-spousal-sponsorship-tracker
In that case, its very misleading as a lot of people have not updated their status for months. I have the same issue with New Delhi VO as many people stop updating the tracker after a while. I wouldn't depend too much on this.

Mexico VO is reaaally slow... so I am waiting to get my PPR somewhat close to the 12-month mark; then if I get it earlier, it will be a good surprise and if not, I was not expecting it anyway heheheehhe

If you check the Mexico VO thread here, there are quite a few applications that are over or close to the 12 month...

Good Day!

This is in response to your request for an update on the status of your application. We do our best to make sure everyone who has applied to immigrate to or visit Canada is provided with effective and efficient service. We receive an enormous amount of correspondence daily. Although we would like to respond to all of it, we recognize that it takes resources away from processing applications, which leads to longer processing times. As a result, we do not provide detailed replies to applicants requesting a status update on their application.

Applicants for permanent residence may check the basic status of their application on the Citizenship & Immigration Canada (CIC) website: Client Application Status: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/?app=ecas&lang=en

Applicants can also check the Processing Times page on our website for information about how long it takes for applications in the same category to be finalized: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/processing_times-durees_traitement.aspx

Please note that changes in the volume of new applications received and in the resources available to process them can lead to shorter or longer processing times. Some applications, owing to their complexity, take longer to process than others. Processing could be delayed by any of the following factors:

- An interview is required

- The applicant has not complied with a request for documents or information

- We are awaiting the results of background checks or verifications

- A medical examination and/or treatment is required

Applications are processed in the order in which they were received. If any action is required on your part, we will contact you using the contact information you have provided on your application.

If there has been a change of your marital status, family configuration, or address, you may update your application, but we request that you send a signed request by mail, fax, or scanned e-mail attachment (see our contact information below).

Please provide the following information in all correspondence with our office:

- the subject of your message

- applicant’s full name (SURNAME, Given names)

- date of birth (dd/mm/yyyy)

- country of citizenship

- file number or UCI

- telephone number, including area code,

- mailing address,

- email address

If you are making an enquiry on behalf of a friend or relative, please note the Canadian Privacy Act prohibits the disclosure of personal information from our files without the written consent of the person concerned. Information may only be disclosed to a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident specifically named by that person, or to an authorized representative. See http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/representative/index.asp for further details.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum to help us serve you better.

Could it be possible that they have actually started BGC without posting any update on ECAS or GCKEY accounts?

This line summarizes the long email.
"As a result, we do not provide detailed replies to applicants requesting a status update on their application."
They will not provide updates unless you've crossed 12 months.
eCAS and GCKey are not reliable. The only way to know your file status is by ordering GCMS notes.

That's correct. My BGC and eligibility "started" 5 months ago, but highly doubt that this is correct since my application was transferred to Mexico in November 2018, and Sydney didn't perform eligibility checks as far I am concerned
