Nopes.
The only ACTUAL ghost update i had was around when my file moved to London. Nothing during 1st adr

Sadly can't call cic anymore as they don't assist cases where VO is overrate.

I have submitted cse, sent email so far no reply
I didn't know you will receive a ghost update when file moves to another VO.

What I have seen from my case and other people, usually one or two days after ADR, applicant received a ghost update showing that the officer has considered the ADR. Also, people sometimes get a ghost update for criminality. Now, hard to tell which one happened in your case. The only option is to order GCMS notes.
Hopefully it was criminality that was set to passed and your case has moved one step forward.

hello,
It depends on your stage. If you have already passed eligibility and criminality (which is reasonable to assume given your June AOR), then it shows that you are at the beginning of security. But, don't worry. After you submit your info, the officer is gonna review it and if there is nothing red flag with it, there is a good chance they pass security immediately without sending you for SS.

Having excessive travel history and confusing info definitely increases the chance that the officer pays more attention to your case, but that is not always true. Sometimes it is just pure luck (or bad luck) to be picked up for SS.

I don't know how but make sure that the info you enter matches the info in your application as well as the info you presented before entering the pool.
Thanks for this

@tobs @cansha..I called CIC again and spoke to a very helpful lady. Eligibility is RR. They haven't looked at my documents since April 2018. Even by the poor standards of CIC, the agent said this usually shouldn't have taken that long since they never made any correspondence after June 2018. She is telling me to wait for a month and is marking my application for immediate attention.

Is that even possible? I have called many a times and no one told me that they can mark my application. What does it even mean?

Thanks much

Hi, My timeline is
24 March 2018 = OINP applied
14 June 2018 = Nomination received
25 June 2018 = ITA
29 June 2018 = AOR
18 July 2018 = background check in progress
25 July 2018 = Medical Passed
23 August 2018 = Background check started

But since then I have been waiting for PPR. Its been 7 months from the time I have applied and I am clueless as to why is it taking so long to process my file. Please suggest something. What to do? Whom to get in touch with?

That means they have flagged your application for an agent to review. That does not mean that the agent will look at it. My file was flagged on Jan 8th and it hasnt been looked at. Was told to call back after Feb 8th if nothing has happened.

Posting here as I know it’s a busy ol’ forum the seniors frequent.

Does anyone know how to submit additional documents in response to a procedural fairness letter I got last Friday? Is it done somewhere in the profile or via a CSE or via some other means?

Just a gift deed letter and some updated bank statements to show I have enough funds.

Additionally do you get a response from Cic to know they’ve received them? As it’s a fairly simple issue I’m hoping my file is finalised pretty quickly once they have them.

Neither did I know. But i am just guessing it cos on 21st when I called the agent told me my file was being handled by Ottawa AND London (i dont know how both, but he could access my file).

Now on 22nd I noticed the ghost update (i login daily lol) and when I called that night, i was told they could no longer access my file as it had moved to London completely.

I have ordered gcms on 27th jan but not sure if todays event will be on it. My last gcms was dated 3-4 days after i had ordered. Hoping for best now

I don't think that moving file triggers ghost update. I think that one was also a real ghost update about your profile. Seems your file is moving and hopefully ppr is around the corner.

As far as I know if they want you to upload a doc through your cic profile, they create a place for you in your application that you can upload the doc (This is the case when they request for additional document).
If you don't have that option, then your best bet would be CSE. I am not sure though, let's see what other members say.

The only way to make sure if they already received it or not is to either call CIC or order GCMS notes. But cic received the file does not mean that the officer is going to work on that immediately.

It all depends on the officer. They might immediately check your additional documents or he may not touch it for several weeks. Also, proof of fund is part of eligibility. You need to pass criminality and security before they finalized your application.

@Gruff what he said is correct. If there's no place holder, send it via a CSE and email them & raise another CSE to confirm receipt.
Then you wait & hope for the best.

Are you sure it moved to London (UK)? There is a London visa office in Canada too. London Ontario

Hi all,

GCMS note arrived and said that the officer can not confirm one of my work experiences. It said that he/she did a web search and couldn’t verify the employment. Do they not call the office?
Review Required on the employment. Does it mean they will call the office in the next stage after not finding information on the internet? If only the officer will just call instead of googling everything.
What do I do? Please help.

Thank you!

Yep. I thought so too, but they confirmed to me. Also the fact that they stopped assisting me cos my file was overseas and not accessible is proof enough.

And i also checked the tracker. Qatar applications are processed mostly in London or Abu Dhabi and occasionally in Ottawa

They probably won't call. Was your experience letter on a company's letter head that has the email address & phone number?
(Consider helping them find your company online. Add your company's name & address to Google maps/community... i did something similar back then, can't remember now (@ishq74 did something more detailed & can ecplain better).
Do this:
Resend the experience letter with a letter for explanation that your GCMS notes show a a RR for bla bla but that your company is a legitimate company despite having very little online presence & they can email or call the company to get that confirmed..

Thanks for the feedback and clarifying also thanks to @tobs

I can see they’ve added a *update required* option on my application page. I know my criminality is already passed as cic have confirmed that already. Hopefully it’ll get done quick but it’s taken over 7 months to reach this point so I’m not expecting anything to be quick! :p
