Hey how much time does it takes to get approved after eligibility check started.

24 hours for me. My owp eligibility started noon yesterday and got approved this morning

Quick question - When you call CIC to check your status of OWP application, would you provide your OWP application number or PR application number that is obtained when you link your application?

Also when they ask for DOB, is that supposed to be the PA's DOB or Sponsor's DOB?

Does calling them yield different results to the GCKey page? I can't call them as my phone is broken and I cant call Ontario numbers from skype. Disturbs me that it might say it's approved by phone but the website hasn't updated yet.

Yay! My partner has been approved for the OWP! What a relief. Now he can start stressing about getting a job instead of stressing about the OWP

I know this comes up from time to time, so I thought I'd post for anybody who might be in the same boat in the future. PA's visitor status expired at the end of September 2018. We applied to extend it at the beginning of September, and submitted the PR/OWP app in October 2018. At that time he was on implied visitor status. We heard back from IRCC about the visitor extension in December 2018 (it was approved until March 2019).
Implied visitor status counts as "legal status" for the OWP.

It's good to see that there's several of us out there I had read various people commenting elsewhere that implied status didn't count as valid status - it's nice to have proof that it does.
