Hmm... so, I got my results since Jan 11 coz I asked for them and they sent them to me. No grading in the paper

I did, but it is not being shown in my account. I called yesterday and the lady told me that my medical results were there, but I had to send a webform wit them to the PR application directly.
Thing is, the clinic uploaded them since the 10th of January, why aren't they uploaded in my file?
The doctor that I booked an appointment with sent me 5 papers explaining the whole process, she said that she grades the medical results A or B and submits the file to the head office in Ottawa where the doctors there finally decide if it's a pass or fail. She says she isn't supposed to comment if its a pass or fail because it might contradict the other doctors decision in the head office. So I think maybe all doctors are following the same procedure and your doctor probably didn't want to comment anything at all on it since the other doctors will.

It takes up to 4 weeks to show update on MyCIC after they submit it to CIC.

If the OP is out of status, applying for OWP won't give implied status, since having valid status is required in order to be even eligible. The application will be rejected outright. The OP needs to apply for restoration of status as a temporary resident, assuming 90 days hasn't passed since their status expired. Once restoration is approved, the OP can then apply for an OWP.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/visitors/restoration-status.html
We applied for restauration of status and then sent the PR application with the OWP a month later. My restauration of status was accepted just a week ago. Did I have to have it restored before sending in my OWP or will they be able to see that I am no longer on implied status?

You weren't on implied status when your status restoration was in process, you were out of status.
Since you submitted your OWP when your were out of status and ineligible, I think CIC might only grant you your OWP when you get AIP
Not sure if you informed them that your restoration of status got approved would change anything for your OWP
You can call them and ask

Hi all- still no MR for husband but he had to do one last month for his Visa Extension that we applied for in October. What did your medical entail (what did the doctor do)? Just wondering if it is the same medical that my husband had to do in early January so he won't have to pay out more money and do another for OWP?

Application Received November 27
AOR January 17th
Visa Extension applied for in October and Medical for Visa Extension done on January 15th and visa extension donJanuary 17th

It's the same I guess( he did blood tests, urine and Chest xray right?). If so, he can use the same medical results if they asked him for OWP, medical results are good up to one year from the date it was done.

Yes he did all of that...hoping since he just had it this is the reason he didn't get asked to do one as we are still not able to link our OWP so no idea what is happening.

Waiting waiting waiting!!!

Anyone else in November get their OWP?

Did you check MyCIC account, does it say anything about MR requested or anything like that?

Saying 6 weeks to get work permit??? Gosh I hope all of us November people get ours soon :)

Last update: January 29, 2019 Updated weekly

This processing time tells you how long it took us to process most complete applications, in the past.

Your processing time may vary depending on how many applications we receive.

Your application may be delayed or returned if it’s not complete

Work permit

Canada

6 weeks ?

You may need to give biometrics with your application.
This processing time doesn’t include:

  • the time it takes to send an application between a VAC and our office
  • the time you need to give your biometrics

That's not the same as the OWP application that's submitted with an inland spousal PR application. The wait time for the spousal OWP is 4-5 months: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1163&top=17

ohhhhh??? well that is a HUGE bummer :-( One would think it would be faster. VERY hard to survive on one income here (especially with a family). My husband is going stir crazy and we are going broke without him able to work lol lol
