And also do I need to submit document regarding new employment to CIC for background check?
I do not think you should submit a document for your new employment unless CIC asks for it
But I think you should inform them that you changed your work, because they say you should inform them about any important changes that happens after you submit your application (like change of address, employment)
You should double check that too just to make sure

Sad news..
OWP got sent back to us (received today). We had forgotten to sign the last page.
When we send it back will we be back at the bottom of the pile? Our spousal application didn't get sent back (just recieved MR)
I was also told there was a different address for OWP.
Any help is appreciated.

Sorry to hear that,
Sad to tell you that yes when you send it back you gotta wait another 3 months, but you are lucky that your pr application wasn't sent back with it because they usually send the whole application as incomplete when this happens, you got a nice officer

For spouse or common-law partner work permits, send your application to: Case Processing Centre in Edmonton Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada c/o Work permits for spouses or common-law partners, Station 777 9700 Jasper Avenue NW, Suite 55 Edmonton, AB T5J 4C3

Thank you,
Also they didn't send back the entire work permit application (they took the copies of immigration status as well as the photos of passports). Should I include this again?

Yes you should include everything on the checklist of open work permit again and this time triple check everything

Also is there a way to submit this form online rather than returning it? I read that it's faster to submit online.

Sadly you can't since you haven't received AIP yet,
CIC says here:
* If the permanent residence application has not yet received approval in principle: Mail the completed application
Make sure to include:All supporting documents, and Proof of payment.
* If the permanent residence application has been approved in principle: Your spouse or partner can apply online or on paper for an open work permit. If they apply on paper, mail the completed application.Make sure to include:All supporting documents, and Proof of payment*
