Visitor record extension on September 5th

Hello everyone,

I applied an extension for my visitor record on September 5, 2018, but I have not gotten the result, yet.
It says CIC is working on applications received on September 24, 2018. Does that mean they missed my application? I am so anxious now...

Does anyone have a similar situation?
Please help!

I have a query, my inlaws are in Canada with us now. I have applied for their visitor visa extension last week. Probably, they are going to stay for the next 2-3 months. By that time, if we didn't hear any status from CIC, can they travel back to their home country or not?

Leaving Canada will automatically cancel their visitor visa extension.

You should send a webform updating that they have left if you haven't received the extension yet.

Hello! soo i'm in a little bit of a rut, i'm waiting on my TRV (within canada) and i need to travel on vacation next tuesday, they haven't asked for my passport yet so i'm worried it might not happen in time. i'm willing to do anything to be able to make this trip.
I have a valid work permit but not a valid trv. is there anything i can do to speed up the process to make sure i don't miss my vacation?
please, any help would be so appreciated! can't even get anyone on the phone from IRCC to answer
