Many July applicants are still under review. This VO just started with July, but for some reason they slowed down last week. Try ordering GCMS notes via getgcms.com. If you read previous posts, there is not really a trend at Montreal VO. Someone whose application is under review moves to IP2 and PPR the same day. Hope this helps.
thanks for ur kindness, will do.

You should use getgcms this time ,see if that arrives faster instead of using your friend again. I've ordered twice and both arrived in about 33 days. Do it asap
Will do..thanks alot

Unfortunately nothing can be said unless you get your GCMS notes. There have been many instances like the one you described where GCMS notes just don't arrive and I don't know why that happens. But, I think just apply for GCMS notes again.
though a bit late , but will do .thanks

Want to share my feeling of disappointment as I've just discovered that my application hasn't nearly moved since submission, my aor is july 30,2018 , medicals passed on august 21, moved to ip1 the following day, since then nothing has changed ,and throughout this period of time i called CIC around three times, three different agents replied back that my eligibility is "under review" (these r their exact wording ,the three of them) , and nothing else has started.
Um unable actually to comprehend "under review" status, they told me no extra documents are needed, and when i asked if under review means there's an issue with my application ,they say :no.. it is under verification.
I ordered GCMS (ATIP) through a friend in Canada on October 5th, which i never received.
Clueless..
If it would make you feel better for me to share my own story. Then I would
My AOR is July 24th and my elligibility has been under review since September. I called last week and the agent said it is still under review. I told him that my six month mark is in two weeks and he said I should call back on the 25th of February if there is no update. No ADRs whatsoever. So there you go, you are not alone. Its just Montreal. The next update you get may just be PPR.
You can order another gcms, this time maybe you change the carrier that you ordered from

Initial assessment refers to R10 check. So, from this reply seems like your R10 check was done on 4 Oct. My suggestion would be to order your GCMS notes.
Hi @cansha,

I ordered GCMS notes last Dec, just waiting for the notes.

Do you think passing the R10 means a good chance of my application being approved? I mean, like more than 50 percent it will be approved?

Thanks for all of your opinions and insights, you guys are very helpful in this very stressful waiting game.

Not R10. A good indicator is elibility being approved. R10 only checks all documents are in place.

Hard to put number on it. R10 just means all documents are present and the likelihood of requesting adr is more than the likelihood of rejection. However passing eligibility definitely means a much higher probability of application being approved, i would say 80-90%

Cansha, someone put a theory in whats app group (mentioned they learnt from you) saying ppr is 5 months from date of case analyst note/eligibility, that doesnt sound right. It would mean 8 months for ppr as eligibility is around 3 month mark
Also seems like Montreal went back to sleep

Oh I know who that someone is. What I meant was my PPR was exactly 5 months from the day my eligibility was done. And they didn’t pick my file before that.
But that theory may or may not be correct. I asked a few others who got PPR before me and their file seemed to be touched just at 4th month mark from when eligibility was done. There is no set pattern with Montreal but my point was if that 5 month point is correct some people may have to wait longer. But I know for sure the theory is not true for some July guys who got PPR.

Thank you. If it is 5 months, then i have to wait till march end, barely 3 months left for medicals to expire!

I was actually building upon the theory whether date of transfer of file to Montreal matters or not. My file moved to Montreal on 19 July and eligibility was done on8 aug. some of the June folks with later AoR had file moved to Montreal much earlier than mine and some of those got PPR also earlier than me. But then I know a few who had eligibility passed earlier than me and not get PPR. I wonder what is their processing queue like.

Yea i wondered that too and asked peope here ( on your suggestion) , their file moved later to montreal but it didnt affect their timeline although eligibility happened late. They may just pick up files who are close to 6 months like an alarm, sometimes they get lazy and press snooze like your file! just speculating

No one knows man. Only solace is that they are relatively more sequential than other VOs. But they seem to have gone back to their old ways.

Yeah that's a little worrisome. Hopefully they'll approve a lot of people at once. Otherwise February is probably the month for July folks.
