Hello guys, I have a quick question.

I have plans to immigrate to BC this year as a plumber, and I will use the immigration lawyer. I guess it will be by LMIA and Express entry ?
What I am interested about is how fast I can get my girlfriend to Canada too. We are in a long relationship so far, and we want to get married.
So, would it be better to get married before I apply for immigration, or after ? And how long would it take for her to join me in Canada if I menage to immigrate.

Thank you

Hi,

You can claim points for any skilled experience you have gained in the last 10 years. It doesn't have to be your current job.

"Skilled work experience
You must have at least one year, in the last ten years before you submit your electronic application for permanent residence, of continuous full-time work experience (or the equivalent in continuous part-time work) in a skilled occupation listed in Skill Type 0, or Skill Level A or B of the 2016 version of Canada’s National Occupational Classification (NOC)."

All the best
Thank you ;)

Hi @TanakaM/All,

I hope someone can help me in my questions below.

I am currently below the minimum scrore to receive an ITA. But my current company outside Canada is willing to give me a job offer in our Canada branch that will give +50 points on my score. With the +50 points for sure I will be receiving an ITA the following draw.

My problem is my company cannot provide an LMIA but instead can provide reference and support letters for an LMIA exemption under Intracompany transfer
"Qualifying job positions for specialized knowledge workers [R205(a)] (exemption code C12)"

Does anyone here have experience in this path? Does my company need to coordinate with IRCC or their reference and supporting letters will be enough? Also what specific items should my employer be providing in their letters for a good chance of approval.

Thanks so much!

Hi Team, while filing the application for express entry i have been asked to upload the following 3 documents along with a number of others. i have a sibling residing in canada, and i would need your help to identify what documents would suffice the requirement, are all of these same -if yes then does that mean i have filled something wrong in the application or is it the ways things are or is it a technical glitch?
Family Member Proof of Status (required)
Proof of residency in Canada of sibling (required)
Proof of PR/Citizenship of sibling (required)

Regards.

Hi Tanaka,

I have received ITA this month.
Currently my wife is primary applicant and I am dependent.

My query is :

1. I applied paper based pr application 2013 with me as primary applicant and spouse as dependent. Visa was refused with a restriction of 2 years.
For current application Pre ITA, spouse is primary and I am dependent. Now there was a question in spouse section " Has <spouse name >applied for Immigration before?". We answered No.
Is this correct?

2. If question 1 is answered wrong, do I need to mention my UCI (got in 2013) in spouse section ?

3. Post ITA in my section, statutory declaration, there was a question
"Have you been refused visa, permanent residence ? I answered Yes, and it further asks "Please provide details", there I mentioned my UCI (got in 2013).

4. In my section again, Immigration history, it asks for UCI again. Which one to mention ?
The one got in 2013? or
The one received in current EE application under Dependents (number starts with CAN000XXXXXXXX

Regards,
Manish

What is the WES equivalence for "3 years diploma then Lateral entry to 2nd year of 4 years B.Tech Program":
"2 diplomas/degrees" OR "4 year bachelor degree"?

I have done 10th then 3 years diploma then 4 years b.tech (lateral entry to 2nd year) .
Can I select 2 or more diploma/degree option for my application?

I appreciate your firm response on this. Thank you!

No, it is not something wrong. For a sibling,, they ask 3 categories. For some you need to apply the same. This is how I did.

Family Member Proof of Status (required)- Proof for your relationship to sibling. Birth certificates of both of you and passports
Proof of residency in Canada of sibling (required)- proof of Canadian address of your sibling. Utility bill, credit card statement, PR card, health card
Proof of PR/Citizenship of sibling (required)-PR card of your sibling

I also added a cover letter for each section. In that i stated documents included in tha. For example, in the Family member proof, i mentioned "BCs & passports are included. Sibling's PR/address proof included in categories "....."

It makes details clear to the immigration officer.

Ask me if you are not clear of this.

I got my PR within 3 weeks.

The best thing is to get marry before starting the process. Once you get PR, the only way is to get your wife through spouse sponsorship unless she gets her own PR. The family class takes years and it is a tedious, hectic with regard to spouse.

If you get marry in the process also, your application processing will be delayed. Hence, the best is to get marry and apply.

Hello to all!!

I just want to ask if I can still apply to EE for my previous NOC code?
For example last month i resigned in company A working NOC B. Then currently im working in company B with NOC C.

Can i still submit EE using my last NOC in may previous employer?

Thank you.
How did you decide your NOC?
Did you check with duties of your position?
You need to have minimum 1 year and maximum 3 years experience within the last 10 years.

Hi,

1. Why would you answer No when you have applied before? You need to answer Yes and provide details.

2. Yes
3. Correct
4. The one you got in 2013.

Hi,

Sorry, no experience in this. I would recommend you seek legal advice.
