I made a claim here in Canada 2016. I am almost through with my P.R. However, I have a concern, while on visitors visa in U.S.A , I spent 8 months before coming to Canada to make a religious claim and was eventually accepted. Now, my question, would i be required for police clearance certificate since i spent over 6 months in USA. Although, i never had any criminal record while there.I am just asking pro-actively.This will prepare me for what to be aware of.During my hearing they pulled out my record from FBI already and had my fingerprints which my lawyer showed me , when i arrived USA, I saw the records. Was this enough ? The stage am in now is: MEDICAL RESULT RECEIVED.

Any help from anyone thanks, one love!

  2. We started processing your application on July 14, 2018.
  3. We sent you medical instructions on October 2, 2018. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
  4. Medical results have been received.

This is what appears on my TIME LINE as at today. Like i asked earlier has any one spent more than 6 months in the U.SA. and made a claim in CANADA? If yes, were you required a P.C.C? How did you go about it? I don't know the process and procedure. I just want to be ahead to avoid delays if eventually am asked to submit. I believe after the medical i am 90% into completing the required steps for PR.
I welcome comments from like minds and those that had passed through this stage. I appreciate any advice/comments that will be of help.
I pray success for everyone desirous of his P.R/ CITIZENSHIP in Canada.

One love!!!!

Hi Sam. Usually yes! In most cases I've seen anyone who lived in the US for more than 6 months was asked to provide a PCC. Good luck!

Thanks for your response, do you know what steps required, and how to go about it? I don't have security issue while there and no criminal act.I just want to be proactive so, i start whatever needs to be done. Does anyone knows the procedure? The P.C.C, I presume it ought to be before medical.

Hi there! It seems like your file is complete now. All you have to do is wait. Currently they are finalizing July-October 2017 applications. So I'm guessing you're not far away from hearing a response. Maybe a few more months.

Good Luck!
