Sure Bud, trying to keep my calm. I understand that receiving PPR means more work on my to-do. But at least it will not feel as handicapped as I feel now.

Even if waiting for the PR Card will be more patience testing, I will have other things that I can focus on, finding a Job, settling, etc. that can happen in parallel.

As cruel as it might sound, we are not alone in this battle. There are many folks who are waiting and let's keep waiting.

Yup, it looks like eligibility for some of us is waiting in a LONG queue for review by a senior officer - despite being recommended passed for a while now! Strange are the ways of CIC eh...

Everyday I start with a benchmark or rather a person in similar situation as mine.

Everyday I think, it's not just me, @tobs too has not received her PPR.

When she received it, the person changed to @ishq74, then @cansha, then to @tanush14..I skipped a lot of names in between...now everyone has made it to the other side of the fence...and they can start planning about their life at Canada...Congratulations to all...

I will wait for my turn...peacefully.

You make complete sense buddy! I know when people say moving is tough they are correct. But I also feel it is tough but then it has some part that is in your control and you can make some decisions. In the waiting case everything is in dark and hence your analogy of feeling handicapped is spot on. I would any day pick challenge of moving to a new country over waiting in complete darkness. It is not an easy thing to do!

I really pray for all of our friends here who are waiting. I know how I was feeling till 24 hours back and I won't claim that I was patient and calm because I wasn't. Only suggestion I have is to try to keep yourself busy if possible. For me it meant netflix and youtube.

We have been told by agents and even as per recent notes Eligibility and criminality have been marked as passed but the security has 'not started'.

This is the case with handful of us.

Will do, brother. My challenge, the last big and positive change in my life happend when I got married three and a half years ago. Life hasn't been exciting since. I am hopeful about this development so things start moving and I agree to all you said and will keep myself busy in my chores until I get the trigger to get excited

I did my landing yesterday in Ottawa. The agent told me that the card will arrive in two months!
Here is my timeline:
CEC-inland
AOR - June 20th, 2018
MEP - July 6th, 2018
ADR - July 12th, 2018
Additional document submitted - July 17th, 2018
IP2 November 16th, 2018
ADR - Not applicable November 19th, 2018
PPR - November 26th, 2018
Approved - December 5th, 2018
COPR and Visa - December 13th, 2018
Landed - January 8th, 2019

Those cases that you mention were given PPR by NDVO are usually the cases that were analyzed and finalized by Ottawa and other places such as Sydney. This is wrong point of view that NDVO is doing all the work while others don't do anything. NDVO just issues PPR these days. The rest were performed some where else and this is the whole idea of GCMS (Global Case Management System). You really don't know who does what because they all have access to files and they all do some of the work. Files move a lot between these places as each group are expert in one of the tasks. So, it does not mean that Ottawa does not do anything, it means that they are doing something else behind the scene. Now, why this whole issue of holding approved applicants, I don't know. But, it is obvious that there is a glitch in moving files in the GCMS. That is why people email NDVO to remind them to send PPR

Thats my Point.... There is a glitch in the system which is nt letting Ottawa know that there are files sitting idle for seventy odd days... My whole point is if they can work on the files, why not issue PPRs straight away.. It has been like this always... And I did not say Ottawa is not working, its just that they are not issuing PPRs lately.... and yes, not working on certain files which moved to IP2 at a certain past time.
