Here is my timeline:
APP received on September 7th, 2018
AOR1 received on December 22nd
Biometric request letter received on January 2nd today.

That's my timeline so far. I hope you receive yours soon as well, Its a very frustrating and long process.

Awe I really feel your pain. Its a long and painful process.
I called IRCC on December 29th and the agent I spoke to she said she will send an email to the case processing center to look at my file and I got the biometric letter 5 days later.
I think maybe you should call them too and ask them about the process on your application.
