Hi everybody
I’m just curious to know if anybody else apply for a spouse sponsorship from over 1 year and the application still in progress....
I’m a Canadian PR...after my marriage I apply with my wife for family sponsorship Inland.....
The application was received in Mississauga the 3rd of August 2017 ,everything going well,she pass medical exam,police check and everything else...
But the application is still in progress after 15 months...when the timeline for this application say of a maximum of 12 months....we try to call cic and they say is everything good is in progress....anyone in my situation???

12 months is a target, not a promise. Have you ordered your GCMS notes? To confirm you and your spouse have remained in Canada for the entire time of processing?
 
12 months is the average and they process 80% of applications in that time. Once you go past 12 months, it's very difficult to predict when you might be done as all normal timelines no longer apply. You can try to get your MP involved and have them take a look at the application.

Usually, the background check is the longest and most complex part of the process. So that's probably what they're still doing.

Yes we work here in Canada and she also received the the OPW ...
