"Please be informed that your application is currently in queue for review by an officer. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide you with a date on which your file will be reviewed."

this was an email response from cic to my status enquiry. IP2 since Nov 30. Can anyone guide me what to make out of this message?

Even the ghosts seem to be terrified by the plethora of people desperately longing for their visit to each of their CIC profiles, that they have decided to desert the application portal , let alone the Christmas break :D
IP2 is the new IP1 lately and so he will have to hang in there for a while like all of us ,before a ghost is forced to visit his profile :D

Cheers!

Hey,
Most likely a case analyst at your respective Central Intake Office would have marked "Review Required" for any of the eligibility indicators on your profile. Nothing to worry about , the officer would review your application and send out an ADR request if he/she need one or will give a 'PASS' if he/she is satisfied without an ADR.

So just another update in your application assuring you that someone is working on your profile :D . Nothing to worry. Just keep looking for an ADR request in your CIC profile.

Cheers!

Here is the response to my webform query for update:

We verified the information provided and can confirm that your application is still in process.

While the processing times may vary with each case, we will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible.

Rest assured that we will communicate with you once a decision is taken.

They updated me with what I told them in question.

Hey Tobs,

What do u usually ask for the agent when u call? I mean....what is it the best way to approach the agent in order to drain some useful information?:D

Do u ask directly about eligibility etc?
Yes ask about eligibility, criminality and security. Specifically ask if Eligibility is passed/met/recommended passed or review required.

Hey there! I have been told that my eligibility is “recommended passed”, and waiting for Security to start. At what time Eligibility becomes “Pass” or “Met”. Are they any different than “Recommended Pass”???

Recommended passed is good. It's the same as met and once a final review is done by a case officer or will be passed.

For those of you who have received their PPRs (US based), how much time did it take for you to get your passports back after you submitted them?

I submitted mine around third week of Nov (within the 30 day period after getting PPR) but haven't got them back yet.
