Hi everyone,
I have been nominated by BC PNP and now I am applying for a LMIA exempt work permit visa.

My first question is that in online application, where should I attach my work permit support letter? As far as I see, it is not among the requested files. I have read that in offline application it is needed that one attaches this form.

I also wanted to know that is it necessary that I prepare and upload the following document?

IMM5802 Offer of Employment to a Foreign National LMIA-Exempt

It i among the optional documents, but again I have read that employers must generate one for their employees through employer portal! I do not know why is it then optional for my case.

Thank you in advance for helping

The paper form IMM5802 is no longer being used, now employers need to submit a job offer online through employer portal; after they received a job offer number, they'll need to give the number to you so that you could fill in your work permit application form. For all other supporting documents for which you do not see a designated upload slot, combine them and upload it onto the 'optional/applicant information or whatever it's called now' slot.

Thank you very much for your reply.

wish you luck!

Hi Everyone,
I got my SINP in march 2018 and applied PR application and work permit application with the support of SINP work permit support Letter outside Canada but a few days back, my work permit application refused due to the compliance fee not paid by the Employer .CIC suggested me to reapply if you can respond to this issue but my question is the SINP work permit support letter expired in Sept, 2018 that is valid for 6 months.
Sir, Please suggest / Guide me what to do now. Can the SINP Work Permit Letter be extended.
Thank you

Follow the steps below: Also make sure that the employer pay the ecf before your apply for your work permit.

Hi, I was wrong at the first place, because I realized that I should apply under nomination category, not LMIA exempt itself. It has been 3 weeks since I submitted and still waiting

Hi,

I believed processing time is about 8 - 9 weeks (i helped some of my friends apply for for work permit-i.e same employer). Not sure if the same for those who have Provincial Nomination applying for work permits.

In the website estimated time is 16 weeks, but I have not seen any case applying for LMIA-exempt work permit, because nominated applicants typically apply for open work permits

But if you say it is 9 weeks, then it is very good news for me :D

Hi,

I am under OINP-Employer Job Offer nominee that is why i have to apply for closed work permit but LMIA-exempt.

But the way, do you have any idea if my spouse can apply for open work permit?

Cheers and have a good day!
