I am loosing my mind on cic . I call nov 20 they said I ll be done by nov 30 but no news they I went to mp cic told them I ll be getting contact first week of December and it’s 11 dec tomm and no news . It’s driving me crazy

Hello y'all 2017 apps! See to my signature for the timeline. Sorry I haven't been back here in the forums in a long while as we've been busy with work and life. We're anxiously waiting for my wife's PR card in the mail. I checked the spreadsheet and not many reported date of receiving the PR card. The few that reported got their PR card between 58 to 69 days from landing date, so that averages to about 2 months. With Canada Post's recent strike and backlog, we're hoping she gets her PR card soon as Dec 21st would be exactly one year since our app was received. Her PR card is like gold to us and hopes it's not lost or whatsoever.

Another question - my wife is a US citizen, lives with me in Ontario and is officially a PR of Canada, does she need a travel visa for when we go to the Dominion Republic in 2020? We're saving up for this trip. I know she doesn't need a travel visa to go to the USA to visit her sister and family as I promised her (starting in 2019, then every two years and on), but what about outside of USA/Canada like the Caribbeans, Mexico, etc? Thanks in advance. (I do all the paperwork, as she hates doing so, thus it's why I'm on here as a sponsor and a loyal partner.)

As a US citizen, she doesn't need a visa for the Dominican Republic for a stay of up to 30 days.

She also doesn't need a visa for Mexico, but I don't know how long the stay is. Better to contact embassies/consulates to have this information.

Its so many questions... like MANY MANY MANY! They asked me to draw my room showing bed position ... what side of bed each of us sleep. Who wake up first... last movie we watched together... where.... last time we had sex... explain how was our first date... ask if my wife have any tattoo / scars and where, who pays the bills..... what we gave to each other for birthday / Christmas! Name of people who were at our wedding and engagement .... ( there is one blog you can find over 150 question there basically all questions that they asked) Yes I know its sounds scary! But remember just keep calm and tell the truth

After all questions, the officer interviewd my Wife and basically asked the same questions and them she called me to the room and said there is no more concerns and just wait for landing appointment.

And she explained about the interview request just because we have short time of relationship!

Hello, if you don't mind to share, may I ask your timeline? We are Feb 2018 applicant but didn't hear any after work permit and med request. Other Feb 2018 applicants are getting SA or interview date etc. We are a little concern as we have short relationship together as well. Thank you in advance

Hello to both Waka2018 and Canada1405 - I'm surprised that Waka2018 had so many questions! My wife and I only dated 7 months, then we married. We didn't get those questions as to our sleeping arrangements, etc. Just the general questions like any criminal activities while in Canada, when we will be travelling next, etc. Our relationship was very short before we married, but IRCC approved us. Interesting. I think Canada1405 should be fine as yours was for 3 years total.

I think yours was just the Landing interview not a relationship interview. Perhaps?.

When they have doubts about a relationship is when they would ask all those questions, I don't think the length of a relationship matters at 100% Depends on how well you elaborate your case for the application.

IT'S ALL OVER!! My Son and I landed today process was super easy I was just asked 3 questions and was given my Confirmation of PR, I went to Service Canada straight away and got our SIN, then to the Healthcare office n get our Cards in about 10 mins....
