hi everyone! im new here. does anyone know how long it usually takes for the immigration office to process medical exams?
I am already a citizen here and i submitted my husband's (whose is Philippines) application last June 2018, i got a response from then the following month for an error on one of the forms, we immediately corrected and resubmitted that. then, a week after, we received a request for a medical exam for my husband. it has been a few months and we have not received any letter/email from them yet. is that a good thing or a bad thing? and how long does it usually take before they email/send a letter to us for his passport request?
Hello. After the medical is the background check. This is usually the last but longest stage of the application.

Let me iterate the following:-

1) this is not the forum for Islamic debates
2) the link sent earlier has Quranic verses and authentic hadiths supporting it
3) im in no way saying you cannot speak to a women at all (i.e workplace, malls etc..) however in the context of the situation..you cannot speak to your future wife before nikka as it can lead to fitnah.

Further to above if you dont have any advice on the application regarding this situation then would really appreciate to you let this go. You are more than welcome to do your own research disproving me and find another platform.
Let me know how that works out for you in your application ;)

Hello All,
I am married and have a 1 month old Baby.
I am contemplating to apply for a Canadian PR via express entry.
However can anyone help me with some information as to whether if I can apply for myself first-get a PR-land in Canada and then arrange and apply for my spouse and child's PR via the Family and Spousal Immigration.
OR is it advisable for both my spouse and myself to apply for PR at the same time mentioning our child as a dependent.
What are the options available and which one is the most suitable?

Hi Everyone,
I just want to ask regarding our case with my conjugal partner in canada, we want to apply for spousal sponsorship under conjugal relationship, but not sure if we are qualified. This is our case, he is a canadian citizen and i am from Philippines, we have had our long distance relationship for almost two years now, we met once when he visited me for a month in my country and have lived in one roof just like married couples at the time of his stay.We really want to get married here in the Philipines, but the reason we can't get married is that he was previously been married to his ex wife who is from Philippines also, although they are now divorced in canada. The problem is Philippines is not acknowledging divorce. We also tried to apply myself a visitor visa so we can be together in canada and eventually get married there but i have been rejected 2 times. Are we qualified for conjugal relationship?hope you guys can help us. Thank you in advance. Pls enlighten me.

In order to be considered as in a "conjugal" relationship, this means you need to be living under the "same" roof for a year. You need to show evidence of this, such as both of your names on a residential lease, bank accounts, insurance, loans, bills, as much as possible, evidence wise, to show that you have been living together and sharing bills for no less than a year. Once you have passed the year of living together, then you can apply as conjugal.
Isn't that common law?

If you’re in conjugal relationship
A conjugal partner is:

a person who is living outside Canada,
in a conjugal relationship with the sponsor for at least one year, and
could not live with the sponsor as a couple because of reasons beyond their control (e.g. immigration barrier, religious reasons or sexual orientation).
This term applies to both opposite and same-sex couples.

You can sponsor a conjugal partner if:

there is a significant degree of attachment between the two of you, implying not just a physical relationship but a mutually interdependent relationship, and
you’ve been in a genuine (real) relationship for at least 12 months where marriage or cohabitation (living together) hasn’t been possible because of barriers such as sexual orientation, religious faith, etc.

The main difference between a spousal sponsorship and a conjugal sponsorship is that in a spousal sponsorship, the couple is usually living together and share many things which makes it very easy to prove their relationship, whereas in a conjugal sponsorship, the two partners do not live together and are not married ...

It was my error, true, but a conjugal relationship is very difficult to get immigration to approve of, from what I understand. As it is even married couples that worry/stress. I can just imagine what "conjugal" relationships experience.
Your describing a "common-law" relationship. Not a conjucal.

Deleted, I am so grateful for this portal. We are all in the same situation, just wanting to be with our loved ones. It's such an emotional process. :(
Stressful is my case! I've been through the process, then an appeal and now going through ss. Lord only knows how long that will take, but I'm told at least 6 months :( luckily I'm with my husband so I'm grateful for that. Alot of others are separated. So I'll count my blessings. But this group has helped answer so many questions and concerns.
