Hi guys..can any1 of u tell me plz how do I use the gic? I mean when I reach Canada, that money is used for what? ....my tuition fees? Or for anything else too?

It is all up to you. You will get only 2000$ plus interest till the transaction date for the first month in your bank account. After which, every month you will get around 660$ every month.

So, that means i just have to go the bank and they will give that specific amount, right?

Yes. You have to show them the GIC document which you have gotten and maybe passport so your account will be active in the particular branch. The amount will be transferred along with the interest and whatever excess amount you have sent as Scotia bank only require 10200$ for GIC but normally student/agent send more than the required amount.
