What does American Thanksgiving have to do with Canada?
Well a lot.

1. Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales are very popular as well. So popular, that some people will take 1 day off just to go shopping to USA.
2. As a neighbour country, you can only expect lot of cross border marriages and extended families. So again some people take holiday just to visit their Family in USA.

Now given the fact that it takes certain effort to check the database in order to prepare everything for the official approval, why on would they want to choose a date, where some people will return to work only to find overflowing mailbox.
It is much more reasonable to avoid such date and spread their workload more evenly.

I live in Vancouver and it doesn't seem like such a big deal here at all. No one I know took a day off work or travelled to the States, it was business as usual.

You see, I live in Ontario (the province where Ottawa is) and the office was half empty on Friday. And some of my suppliers contacts (from Canada) were out of office on Friday.
And yes Black Friday weekend is where it is difficult to get people for overtime.

So yes it is a decent deal here.

The more you know... Still, government offices should not be affected by something that's not even close to a public holiday.

There is a difference between a normal day and a day with heavier workload (especially sending ITA - as it seems to be a semi manual process) that has to be done within tight time limits.
So it is no wonder that they would try to avoid workload peaks during the time where they can expect less people in the office.
Of course unless they would be chasing a different deadlines (like provinces sometimes do when releasing their PNP yearly quota).

Wednesday draw will add 2 more days in waiting and no of candidates adding in pool will become 280*13= 3640. Only 260 candidates could be adjusted from the last draw pendancy. I suppose, score to be in range of 446-448, if draw happens on Wednesday.

I don't want to ruin any hope but this might happen.
Could you please let me know if 280 is the number of profiles being added to EE pool having score more than 440 ?

I think if you are not considering a score, then the number of candidates would be more than 280. Please let me know if I’m missing something.

Hi,
I lost 5 points today for age. Now I drop down to 439. Please suggest, should I withdraw my profile and enter again with spouse not accompanying with rise in score to 442 or is there any slim chance of score dropping to 439... And what are the chances with 442.... Will 445 become a new normal for future draws..... Please spare some thoughts....

It's better to change the profile and you get ITA first. What @aamenah is saying is correct. Once you get ITA and land there, you can get your dependant easily to Canada. Don't miss the chance, I repeat do not miss the chance.

Looking at 2018 draws, it is unlikely you will get ITA with 439, there are just too many profiles in the pool now hovering between 439-450. If they issue 3900 invitations, there is a chance that lowest cut-off will be 441.
Last year there was a three-week gap around November which shot up the cut-off to 458 but that was expected because they issued 2000 ITAs. This year November has seen only 1 draw so I doubt there will be such long gap. So I assume tomorrow will be a draw issuing ~3900 invites.

You can either wait and see the cut-off score tomorrow and then upgrade your profile so that you can catch the 2 rounds in December, or you can upgrade it right now. I recommend discuss with your spouse regarding the situation.

Is it okay to apply non accompanying spouse if u are married and have kids? With me our score is 438, if my husband apply alone score will be 443.

One more question, how long does it take to get PR for me and kids(daughter is Canada citizen) once my husband get PR?

It will take around 1year to complete the paper work after your husband secures a job in Canada
