Invitation Letter on Work Permit

I'm currently in Calgary on a 2 year Work Permit and I have a full-time job with a good IT company. I need my girlfriend and my parents to visit me for a couple of weeks next year. Can I write an Invitation Letter for their visitor visa? I'm asking this because I'm not fully aware of the process and any help/insight on this would be appreciated.

Letter should consist on following parts

1- Your name Passport Number and current address
2- Details of people you are sponsoring
3- Purpose of Visit
4- Your commitment to support them - Provide food & Lodging - You can add about Balance of Bank account to show officer enogh funds are available that you can support them

One liner statement for assurance that they will leave at the end of stay-

Its not a requirement to notarize. I don't find any benefit of doing a notarization of a letter that you wrote yourself.
