Can I leave canada while waiting for my PR application to go though?

Hello. I was wanting to know if I can leave Canada while waiting for my PR application to get back? They have been sent off for about 2 1/2 months now. My grandfather in the USA is very sick and I am wanting to go see him before it is too late. I have a visitor visa already while here in Canada. If I was to leave Canada would my PR be voided? If not what all papers would I need to get back in or is there anything I need to have ready to getting back in?

Unclear if you have landed as a PR and are waiting for a PR card or waiting for a specific PR application like an inland spousal sponsorship. Could you elaborate.

I am applying for my PR in Canada, I’m waiting for my PR application to be accepted and my PR are in under spousal sponsorship from my mother and step dad.

Yes - you can leave Canada. The TRV should be enough to allow you back into Canada. However being allowed back into Canada is never guaranteed.
