hi everyone..I got my PPR on the 13th of October ..prior to that time I had written to CIC of my change in Marital status..CIC sent a mail on the 18th Of October requesting for additional document for my spouse's.. we were given 30 days to submit..we have submitted yesterday..my question is how long does it take CIC to process spouse application??

You should be posting to the Express Entry section since this relates to an economic immigration application. The short answer to your question is that you should be expecting a 3-4 month wait from the time you submitted the additional documents.

Your spouse should apply for a new passport. Note that passports are supposed to be valid for 6 months at the time of the PR visa issuance.

My spouse has already submitted his passport as requested for visa issuance..so there is no way his passport can be renewed

I have just been added to my husband's application as his dependant. how long do I have to wait for CIC to send us the golden mail?

Again post at Express Entry because this is NOT a spousal sponsorship application (which means a PR of Canada or Canadian citizen sponsoring their spouse)
Have you gone through medical check? Police check? It's likely that they will return your husband's passport so that he can get a renewed one and resubmit it when the complete application is approved.

Already answered. 3-4 months.
