Can I take my 5yr old to Canada with me as an international student

I just got accepted in college in Canada and now intend to apply for a study permit. I would like to take my 5yr old along with me since my husband has a very demanding job and doesn't have the time to care for her on his own.
Is this possible?
How do I go about doing this, if it is?

If she requires a TRV, apply for one with your study permit. If she is visa-exempt, apply for an eTA for her.
