Let's see how many of July AOR's here are inland?

I am an inland, CEC.

CEC Inland
AOR: July 31
IP2: Unsure, never got an email but noticed about 3 weeks ago when I logged in.
Awaiting PPR.

I have 2 friends also doing CEC Inland, also from Ireland. One is at 4 and half months and other is just over 5 months and nothing. My friend at 5 months had to get a bridging visa cause her 2 year work visa has run out now.

Hi Guys,
Emailed 'Ralph' yesterday and go this back. I am at IP2 (changed sometime in October):

It is at the Case Processing Center in Ottawa

Eligibility passed.

Criminality is in progress since July 31, 2018.

Security checks have not been initiated. They cannot be expedited and timelines are not available.

Medicals are valid until Aug 2019.

My AOR was 31st July and I am FSW Outland.

Any thoughts on where I am at? Thanks!
Really?
Why would you email someone that's supposed to help you if you've crossed the 6months mark barely 3 months in?
You've taken advantage of a good process that's intended for a different purpose.
For next time when you want info and you haven't gotten to 6 months yet, you can call IRCC, or order GCMS notes, or even fill a webform for inquiries .
...
*Berating over*.
Now to answer your question, everything looks good with your application, you should get the "IP2" soon & hopefully PPR.

Thank you!
Don't join the emailing Ralph trend.

Let me give you guys an example.
This time last year, anyone could email IRCC at their cpc-ctd-ottawa@cic.gc.ca email address to ask about their visa offices & other important inquiries and you could expect a response to your inquiry. Guess what happened with everyone abusing the email address and bombarding them with mails?
Yes you guessed right.

Ralph's email is to help those who have crossed the 6 months mark get information and updates about their application but now even July AORs who just got to the 4months period this November are mailing him. Same as August & now September.
I implore us to make use of other channels to get updates. GCMS, calls, etc. Let's not ruin a good thing.

With that said, we're adults and can make out own decisions.

I got an answer from “Ralph”, as it follows:

“I spoke to IRCC regarding your application received July 9, 2018. It is at the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney.

Standard processing time is 6 months. This means 80% of routine applications are completed within that time frame, while 20% take longer.

Criminality passed Aug 27.

Eligibility passed.

Security checks were initiated Aug 29 and are in progress. They cannot be expedited and timelines are not available.

Medicals are valid until July 2019.
Sincerely”

What do you guys think, is a good or bad sign having the CIO Sidney as visa office? Or it doesn’t matter?

This security check means I fell under the SS screening?

It’s been 120 days now...
Security checks are done for every applicant and don't mean you fall under security screening.

I don't know your AOR & stream (consider adding a signature; click on your user name, signature is below your name on the left) but your VO being Ottawa is a good indication that you may move to the "we are processing your background check/ IP2 stage soon". As a lot of other Ottawa applicants have.

But your eligibility is recommended passed which is the key. Rest all will get cleared. Good Luck

1. Because the minister is supposed to help you get updates from CIC when your application has exceeded the average processing time. His response gives you an idea if the delay is because you're in secirity screening or its eligibility inclined.
Read through this thread.

2. If you've noticed all the reply from his office mentions "you're within the 6 months processing time" for those who haven't crossed 6 months yet. It's usually a different response for those above the 6 months timeline.

Did anyone on this thread receive PPR email last night/ this morning?
Seems like there's a drought of PPRs today

He is a MP and he understands what is going on - He responds back to email's to further his future vote base. He very well understands what is going on and he even has staff who responds back very promptly to most emails. If he was really bothered by people misusing his email id he could very well ignore their emails. or he could only respond to people who have gone beyond 6 months. His email wording comes with a legally right phrasing so that he is covered by suits if any. Hence you see that his email comes with all disclaimers. Also he has a right as a member of parliament to get this information from CIC so there is no misuse on his part either.

I think there is absolutely no need to discourage people from writing to him.
