Medical Passed: 30 May 2018

Appointment was at 2.30 PM. Reached there around 2.10 PM. There were 2 other families with same appointment time and all were asked to wait in the sitting area. They gave a brief information about the process while we were waiting. They started calling us one by one at 2.30 PM. (I was the first one called). Congratulations!! And thanks for sharing your experience!

I have a small question though. I called CIC and they say my PR is approved but I am still waiting for PPR. I am not very sure as to how will I receive it actually.
So when you say "PPR: 3 October 2018 (10:31 PM EST) - No updates/changes on my online account and I know this is normal.", how exactly did you receive yours?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

You will receive an email:
From: CPCO-FinalRequest / CTDO-DemandeFinale
Subject: Ready for Visa/Prêt pour Visa

PS. Please make sure you check your spam folder. I received it in my inbox, but I know some people for whom this PPR email was sitting in their spam folder while they were waiting for it.

Congratulation !!!!

I need a help, I got my COPR documents yesterday i.e, on 05th Nov 2018, In instructions they mentioned to call the help line, but it never got connected, there is not even a waiting, it is simply being disconnected.

Moreover, there is an instruction to enter 2227 if someone calling to get an appointment after COPR, then i followed and entered 2227, and then it provided an email address asking me to send an email requesting for an appointment, but mail is getting bounced as it says the email id is invalid.

Is this a new method they introduced to send an email to get an appointment ... Any idea
or any other way to contact CIC to scheduled an appointment as the call to them is not getting connected at all.

They do receive a large amount of calls. I personally tried 18 times only to get through to them on my 19th attempt. I think the best way is to call, because the agent submits your request to the landing location while you are on the call. Once done, you'll have to wait for an email/call from them regrading your interview date and time.

@rroh202 , Nice thread you started here. And Congratulations for becoming a PR of Canada. Please, I actually need your opinion on these:

So I applied (with one dependent) for the EE via the FSW. While I live in Canada, my dependent lives outside Canada. Our AOR was April 26 and we got passport request in Nov 16 (via CIC online account). However, this PPR was just for my dependent (as the officer knows my dependent lives outside Canada and asked that the passport be submitted through the VFS). My dependents passport had already been sent via VFS to Canadian Embassy but I have not received anything about my own landing. I actually spoke with the CIC call center agent (on the day I got the PPR), she initially said that it was a mistake. She was of the opinion that it could have been for me (since I am the primary applicant). When I mentioned to her that I have heard of persons who experienced the same thing, she kept me on hold, verified with her supervisor, and then apologized for the wrong information. She said that my dependent needs to submit the passport as requested while I will get a landing appointment from Hamilton IRCC office within 2 to 6 weeks.

Now, these are my questions:

1) Is she the person that would have initiated the landing interview or the VO that approved the application?
2) It seems that Hamilton has less persons for landing. Why do I need to wait up to 6 weeks to land?
3) Can these timeline be reduced as my dependents medical will expire in less than 2 months?
4) Can I call the IRCC call center (or any other office) for an update of my landing scheduling information?

Please kindly let me know your opinion of those.

Thanks!

Hi Rijo, our issue is related. I applied with my son who is in another country. He got PPR on November 20th but no updates yet for me. I live in Canada.
Have you gotten any updates on your application? I’m so worried.

Yes, I already got an appointment and have even landed as a PR! But not to worry, your appointment for landing will come soonest. Probably you live in an area with busy schedule for the local IRCC office. Relax, It will come. Congratulations!!!

Wow, congratulations. I’m so happy for you. How long did it take for you to get the appointment? Did they send email or call you? Where in Canada do you live? I live in Toronto, maybe that’s why I’ve not gotten appointment. Thank you for the reply.

It took about 3 weeks to send the appointment notification. It was via email. I live in Hamilton. Mostly likely its because you live in Toronto. You in get in soonest!
