I have applied for OCI on September 27 2018 and following is the update on Status-

Acknowledgement Date: October 02, 2018
Place: Vancouver
Document Printing Status : Under Process

I have the journey date as November 28, need suggestion on till which date should I wait for OCI else I will apply for tourist visa .

How many days would be your trip to india. If its less than a month you can apply for a e-visa which might be days before you travel.

If you are going to stay longer it should be noted that date visa issued is the date visa validity starts so it should be some thing around nov 15 if you apply you may get by nov 30.

With respect to current processing times,
You should receive the OCI before
Nov-22,If not go for e-visa by then.
