I submitted medical upfront as it was done few months back for supervisa application. Medical passed appeared on 10/17/18

When you get request for PCC, does CIC indicate how recent PCC needs to be?

I got the medical request for my Mom today and I got so surprised. I was not expecting it so early. Does it mean they will receive PR visa soon?

Hi all,

I got an interesting situation here.

So, I got the pre-arrival service letter from CIC which was updated through MyCIC account.
But the problem (or thing that confuses me) is that we only got request for Police Criminal Check, and we haven't even submitted the result yet.
PCC was requested on October 2, 2018, and we are still waiting for RCMP's result, so we haven't submitted yet.
And, the thing that confuses me the most is that we have not received request for medical yet.

The thing that might make sense is that my mom is currently living in Canada for more than a year as a Super Visa, and she has done the medical before we submitted the Super Visa application. So she technically have not left Canada more than six months after she's done the last medical for IRCC.
For this timeline, she has done the medical back in Sept (or Oct) 2016, and got Super Visa in Jan 2017 (expiring in Jan 2018). She is living in Canada since then.

Is this usual case? Does Invitation to Pre-arrival services mean anything? I thought that it is only issued after PCC and IME passed.
Getting confused here, if anyone has similar experience, please advise.

Pre-arrival service message doesn't mean anything. I got it before receiving PCC, MR, RPRF request

July 17th: was asked for the correction on the revision of the forms
Aug 12th : submitted the corrected forms
Aug 23rd: received the file number
Oct 19th: received the medical letter and a letter showing I met sponsorship criteria

can you please tell me does it mean that my mom will receive PR is next couple months

Hello, I am planning to sponsor my mom in 2019, their dependants are my step father and my brother however when they ask for how many I am sponsoring, should I put only 1 because of my mom? Or should I put 3?

not really, depends on medical results, how fast her background will be checked but lets hope

Pre- arrival letters mean nothing really. Its like a generic mail/email.
