My spouse is from Peru. They asked for 2 additional documents which are part of the police check process for Peru (which I hadn't sent with the original application) - Judicial certificate and Penal certificate. I'm not sure why I wasn't notified months ago that those 2 documents were missing. We had already submitted a police background check certificate back in January.

My husband is from Peru too he sent his PPC on February 2018 but on July they asked again for them and also for the update version of the schedule A. They were sent on August and until now we don’t have any news. I think they request again the PPC because they are only valid for 3 months.

Hi every one i have a quest is this possible that visa office can exclude dependenet from the file family sponsorship parent and grandparents without tell you becouse today we receivd medical to every one except one dependent without tell us the reason or may be the email will be send in anthor time can any one advise me what happend and what should i do

PCC from Peru is marked as valid only 3 months, immigration considers them as good for 1 year though; at least that's my understanding.

The application was received since August 2017.
The file was transferred to Mexico in December 2017
Medical test December 2017
Police Certificate requested on April 2018
Interview in Santo Domingo September 2018

Apparently, interviews in Santo Domingo are every 3-4 months. The agents travel from Mexico to Santo Domingo for only 1 week for the interviews. That's why it takes so long.

The agent was very calm and gentle. She made him feel comfortable. She asked how we met, if he met my family, where do I work and how is our relationship (if we fight or not)...
She also took pictures of his tattoos and she said that she has to investigate them for security purposes.. And finally, she said that she'll send the decision by email after the tattoos investigation is done.

Do you know how many time it take for the VO of Mexico to ask for the police certificate?

If you mean for people that DIDN'T send upfront- our application was received January 5 and we received PCC request July 23. (Haven't heard anything since then)

I just got some very bad news that might apply to other Latin America applicants, apparently background check process has not even started, so I am told by my MP's office that the application will be another year in processing... I applied in Oct 2017. Visa office is Mexico city.

According to my MP's office, they're just working on it now. It was transferred to Mex in February, I just got aor2 in Sept
