June 1st applicant here. I'm the sponsor. We are both currently living in Australia with our 2 kids (who are Canadian citizens as I was born in Canada). This is our timeline so far:

AOR1 July 11

SA July 18

AOR 2 July 24

Medical Request July 19

Medical July 25

Medical Passed July 31

Additional form requested Aug 30 (we had to send in husband's driver history from Australia)

Additional form received Sept 25



When I log in to check the status, under background check it says "We are processing your background request. We will send you a message if we need more information".



Stupid question - does this mean the BGC has started? I just assumed we'd get an email if this had started but we haven't heard anything.

Am I silly to think we might be on the home stretch now???

Still no communications from CIC not to PA nor Sponsor. Getting a little anxious with the fact that I still didn't receive medical request

Can someone calm my fears down about two different UCI numbers? There is a completely different UCI number on the medical request form (already filled in in the PDF version) as there is on the AOR1 and SA. Do the sponsor and the PA get different numbers? The two that are to the Sponsor have the same number, and then the one that was addressed to the PA has a different one, just a few digits different. The Application numbers on the forms match though.
Am I getting anxious over nothing or do I need to sit on hold with IRCC to get this fixed?

Once the medical was passed, whats the next step, Background?

From the Recieved Passport request, how long until your husband will land in Canada?

Asalready answered in other thread,
U both will get your own UCI NOS..This is quite normal as applicant is reqd. to do the medicals not Sponsor. Approval is done for Sponsor NOT for applicant so Sponsor will get AOR >>SA But sometimes SA then>>AOR Depends who uploads things when?

He Has submitted his passport it will take about 10 days to get passport back and then he can come anytime
but has book his ticket for November.

i have received email from Sydney that my file has been transferred to Mississauga for further communication

Got AOR on 19th Sep ( File Received on 29th June) and no update after that.! Any reason why i am not getting SA or Medical Request Update while others are getting it within a week of AOR.?
