Hi
Do you have any idea what is the eligibility for this AINP EE. I have juat submitted my IRCC ee profile with only 412. Working with NOC A. 1.3yr so I have 1yr exp and continueing. But LMIA exemp.
What is your noc number? Some of them are not eligible i.e. under which clause, the LMIA-exempt was issued?

No idea, i am a post doctoral fellwo. So far I heard this position is always LMIA exempt
So, postdoc with PhD outside Canada and LMIA-exempt is not eligible for the current Alberta Province Nomination program. Only way is express entry. Alberta government says it opens door for almost every occupations. This one is not eligible. So, no chance for provinical nominee program from Alberta.

The changes they made under AOS reads as:

With our new changes, we will:
  • simplify the application process by creating a new stream for applicants called the Alberta Opportunity Stream (AOS);
  • open up the program to virtually all skills and professions in Alberta with more flexibility for trade skills; and
  • ensure that workers with professional, personal, and community ties to Alberta are first in line to become permanent residents with a pathway to citizenship.

And they exclude international postdocs with LMIA-Exempt work permit holders!!!

I knew this. However the new system that they have released on the 14th June. AINP EE. no one has a clue about this. I phoned them, they said if u have submitted EE and u have met criteria for Fed / canada exp and strong ties with AB such as work exp. Then u might be selected.

Does not say anything about job contract or anything. But they do same draw system in AINP EE stream .

It seems they are using similar filter for EE as well....I have not seen postdoc LMIA - exempt drawn from EE.

Interesting, no clue either. Called them they are so vague in their answer. However, they mentioned they will consider int. graduates. any way let see how it goes. But do have any idea how the CSR score going to affect in this AINP EE. As I have 412 which is quite low for the CIC EE draw.

I know. I think it is all about labour market thing - they have invited for 365 or 375 CRS score as well. To me, they focus on the mostly LMIA, NOC category and labour need of Alberta.
