Hi Guys,
I have a question: i landed as a PR on 20 Aug 2015, and now planning to apply for citizenship but the form of the citizenhip say that i have to provide the Police certificate if i resided more than 183 in a country as i landed in Aug 2015 do i still need to provide the Police certificate because i was in my home country in 2015.

Yes, If you spent 6 months in 2015 or during your eligibility period.

No ; the PCC has a delay to expire (6month) ; you should provide an original new one.

Thanks for helping me. One last question: what if I apply for citizenship in Jan 2019, still i need to provide PCC, i am asking all that because it is long process to get the PCC from my country.

IF you spent more than 183 days during all your eligibility period - YES

For PR I am quite sure this rule has been changed and PCC are accepted no matter how old they are if they are issued after you left that country for the last time.I am not sure about citizenship, but logically it should be the same.

If you police certificate was issued within 6 months of you leaving your country, it is still valid and accepted. For example: you left in August 2015 and been in Canada ever since; if the PCC you sent was issued in March 2015, you can still use it. Otherwise, you would need a new PCC. If you don't want to get a new one, you would have to wait till August 2019 to apply (4 years before the date of application counts towards PCC requirement).
