I am in-land application and I am in Canada. My Open Work Permit is valid until December 31, 2019, but my Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) is expired. During PR processing time, Can I stay in Canada legally with valid Open Work Permit but expired Visa?

Please advise, and Thank you!

No you have a work permit, instead of a visitor record.

Depending on your home passport, you will either require an eTa(which would be attached to your work permit), or a separate entry visa in addition to your work permit.
I have an eTA, so will I have temporary resident status up until the expiry of my work permit and therefore I won't be issued a visitor record when I re-enter?

Hey guys, update! I got a medical request and RCMP fingerprints request with a passport request (my passport expired after submitting the PR)

App recieved: May 1st
AOR: June 14th
Medical & RCMP request: 26th September

Was quite surprised tbh, didn’t expect anything for another month.

You have OWP good until Dec 2019, so you're good to remain in Canada until then or until PR.

Hello everyone

I am Feb 2018 inland applicant. Today I opened my cic online account and it says application received date is Sep 23, 2018. But it was actually received on Feb 14, 2018.

Anyone knows, why would it change the date?

Please advise.

Thank you

I'm not sure but either it is a glitch or an agent is working on your file (maybe I'm mistaken)...

I've updated my timeline in the signature block. Yay! We're so close to the end. Got a letter that Etobicoke office will contact with landing appt. We're hoping to have my wife received her PR card by December, then it would be perfectly 12 months timeline for us.

Congrats, I'm really happy for you! I hope mine comes soon too, our timeline is almost the same as yours.
